People keep using the word "semantics" in relation to the Probation List. I do not think "semantics" means what they think it means.

 

There are no semantics. The Probaiton List explicitly targets transactions completed in the Forum Only Selling Area. Where are the semantics there?

 

I would suggest simply adding a 3rd tier to the already existing HOS and PL. An Off Board Transactions list targetting forum members. This would include e-bay, in person, email deals etc etc.

 

The basic Probation List rules would have to be modified/updated to reflect it is also encompassing off-board transactions.it should be restricted to boardies so they can have a chance to show their side of the story.

 

It is not a difficult thing to accomplish.

 

 

 

An off board black list would be good. I would have some names to add to the list.

I recommend putting him on the HOS list. October's statements clearly state that he was aware of the restoration and intended to dump it on someone. I also expect that most board members would prefer not to have to track a boardie down in a gym 2 years later to recoup part of his money. Not to mention, dealing with the responsibility of selling the book, paying a lawyer to send letters and all of the other grief that accompanies a situation like this. Plus, he's still out $400. This takes the fun right out of collecting. I can't imagine anyone who is aware of this wanting to ever deal with this guy. I have put a lot of thought into this before commenting. The probation list just isn't enough for a situation like this.

Not making excuses but I do no think DD is scamming people. I have his phone number and spoke with him while he was on his way to Mega this weekend. He has refused to take payment and is claiming he will ship me my order for free and give me a refund. Refund pending untill tomorrow I will post when it clears.

I was very worried too but in this case I do believe that Blue is not able to respond / access and is intending on making everything right. I would and did reverse my paypal. To protect yourself I would do the same regardless.

I recieved a 'pending refund' when it clears I will be happy to remove any probation related stuff. Seems DD is shipping me a 50$ order and refunding my money according to his message on paypal

He seems to want to go above and beyond to repair his mistake. I won't keep the books for free, but this was a great gesture on his part. As soon as I recieve the books or the refund clears I will be removing any complaint.

Still no word on my order from DD.

I just received a new commission featuring Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes by Michael Netzer and Joe Rubinstein. Michael (as Mike Nasser) and Joe had an all to brief IMO run on the LSH that I really enjoyed. When Michael decided to start doing commissions again, I jumped at the chance.

1) The sketch that Michael on my first idea that didn't satisfy either of us. He did a great sketch, but it felt like I wasn't leveraging his skills. He had a better idea. Clearly, I'm not qualified to be an Art Director.

Sent DD a message thruough the website and to his email last week, no response.

My paypal is linked to my bank not a CC. Maybe I will put in a call there real good here locally about customer service. I want to give DD the chance to explain himself but circumstances arent looking good right now.

I just filed a complaint on PayPal. I know Dimebag messaged someone today about an order he says he did not recieve. Is this member in danger of being scammed?

Has anyone heard anything recently from DimebagD? I posted the "take it" for several sketch covers in his Feb sales thread and sent payment via Paypal almost a month ago. The books never arrived. He has not sent me any follow-up communication or responded to my PMs. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh no I have been giving it a few more days before I posted here!

Dimebag was active today he messaged another board memeber. He is not retunring emails or messages to me, and I paid over a month ago.

I will check it out! These books are really fun, they sold out in under 6 hours the first time I had some. This print run I have a few more and some regular unsigned ones for those that requested one.

Those sketchcards are really nice for what he had promised me. Chris is a talent for sure!

Jonny has agreed to allow me to offer pieces of his original art here. They will be similar to the stuff I have posted here but I can not say what exact pieces will come in the first shipment. I will be offering art for extremely affordable prices. We will generally be selling these pieces for $50.00 and exact shipping, some of the colored or larger sized pieces may be more. These pieces are way beyond what you could commission for the same price. There will be many scenes, some previously published art and art from many of Jonny's original creations such as his video game art. The first sale will be limited to 5 pieces and they will be scanned and advertised in the original art room when I recieve them next week.
