  1. I owe this thread a picture. Not bad for a garbage fine. Every comic is 9.0+. Best one in the lot was a teen titan #2 in the 9.6-9.8 range. I forgot all about this until my dad called me yesterday saying one of his friends gave him a box of comics because she knows I collect comics. So we will see. Hopefully I have some more stuff to post tomorrow.
  2. Even if you have to hold onto it, joe simon sigs should only be going up.
  3. If its S(A) leave it, S(P) remove it. You only live once.
  4. About 40, 39 slabbed sub #50 asms and an avengers 1
  5. The chase of the comic books is the best part of collecting to me.
  6. Nah, that would be EASY. I'm thinking some Sun Records label Elvis 45s, maybe a couple Warlock albums. Oh, and the original Robert Johnson 78s from 1937. If you do pull those out, btw, I'm going to have a heart attack. If it wasn't so late, I'd be tempted to take a photo of my Blind Lemon Jefferson on Paramount or a group of Sun Records. Instead...this will have to do. The Beatles first recording (promo copy). Flipping through this thread and saw this. Almost all of these were destroyed because nobody purchased them. That's insane.
  7. Could you post the 7.0 white pages? Luv to have a gander myself Should arrive tomorrow so I'll be happy to scan (thumbs u true to fedex delivery A 7.5 on a very good day. Congrats! (thumbs u 7.0 looks spot on, nice book.
  8. The description says he will keep it for his collection if it doesn't sell and then said oh mess when it sold in an hour.
  9. Epic, Epic, Epic!!!!!!!! Awesome book man! Mega Mega Pick up! Looks darn sharp in the slab. Almost twins Also my favorite page Sick looking copy even the way it is. Pre robin tecs are a club I dont think I'll ever make it into
  10. Figured I'd do a group shot of all my 2011 purchases. Though my biggest purchase was the mid grade avengers this year. Hopefully 2012 I can knock out that 8 9 10 17 18 in 7.0 and upgrade my 11 14.
  11. Relax bro. I'm sure its a combination of people lurking and board members offering. Its sad really. Just don't let something like this ruin your comic book collecting experience on the boards. At the end of the day we should all be happy for the collections we have. Thankfully I'm a mid grade asm collector and they're everywhere . I agree. But 2 times in a few months weakens the comic soul... Damn. Next time don't post until books in hand. That is a total bummer.

  13. Thought I had that covered. When he posted the tracking number on ebay, I posted the book here. I mean, I thought it was en route to me. Should have waited longer. Big mouth Brannon. I'm sure that's how it went down, people are pathetic when it comes to money. Next time wait until you have the book in hand . Now it will either be relisted or he will make you pay triple.
  14. You prob posted about it on the boards too soon. People are vicious, they probably emailed him and said they would pay more.
  15. I assume for a long time, the Pacific coast ped and the curator ped are both 9.8.
  16. I guess he didn't realize what he had. Sick buy.
  17. No, that was someone else - I was one of the unfortunate ones that dealt with this particular douchenozzle and I'm 100% sure he wasn't a shill for ol' Musclefrankenshark. Correct. Machine Gunned posted a lot of cheap sets if I remember correctly... then wanted funds sent to two seperate paypal accounts (at least thats what he requested of me). Guy was a real piece of shee ... er work. It's a shame people abuse this forum. I came here with no feedback, purchased, and sold a lot of books in a year. I rarely buy from other venues now and I'm addicted to the marketplace. Can't really complain though, majority of people have a great head on their shoulders and keep everything running smoothly. (thumbs u
  18. I actually went into my LCS to look for this issue because of this thread, there were about 4-5 copies of this issue. All had the stress lines except one. The one that didn't have the stress lines suffered other defects so it had no shot at a 9.8. We ended up discussing this issue to talking about his tec 27 4.0MA on comic connect. He did have a hell of a collection up for auction.
  19. 35,000 is a good price. The book only gains value as time goes on.
  20. this book has been on ebay for months and months...and in the original text, he refered to "us" as cgc board weenies... enough to make me pass on by right there Well that tec31 he has listed, he claimed much less was done to it when he was selling it raw many months back. So I would never do business with him.
  21. From the front scan it looks like it would bury 9.0+. I think indented staples count as a printing defect? Not sure. I noticed a few 9.4s with indented staples in the past Sparkle City Saginaw collection auctions.
