Bought an Avengers 8.0 old label(2,000) off clink 2012. Pressed to a 9.0. Sold for 4,000.
Bought an X men 1 5.5 for 3,600$ off Heritage in 2013. Pressed to a 7.0.
Traded the X1 7.0 +500 cash for an AF 15 3.0 here on the boards also in 2013.

So the second best in the sports cards market purchased the second best in the comic books field. I wonder if PSA who is the leading company in cards will now make a move towards CGC. Now, that would be interesting!
a bgs 10 will blow a psa 10 out of the water. Keep drinkin the cgc juice tho. Legit competition is good.

Not gonna be able to remove the color touch to make this book a blue label. I bet whorver is buying thinks otherwise. Lots of marker touch up on cover, bleeding through
Considering non chipped 5.0s are at 50k plus. A slight(a) at 14 isn't telling me that it's because blue label speculation.

Hmm, ok took a look at it. Decent not special PQ, Lots of chipping, and pretty legit overall 3.5 wear. It was an auction with 27 bids, top 3 bidders all appear to be legit with feedbacks from 300-2200+ all bidding over 18k.
You've got to close your eyes and picture that book without spine roll. It's a steal.

wait, it was a 3.5 with chipping over 18k? Link? Was it BIN or auction?

An extremely nice 3.5 went last night on eBay at 18,300$. Had some chipping but still presented well. Great buy for whoever snagged it.

It's the inner well that books in. If the actual posts are cracked(one on each corner) then I'd be worried.

Nah I love it for real so even for it's flaws that is what they say true love is about....or marriage in most cases anyway!! I can't say I ever felt the same about other stuff in life. Hobbies and pets what a great combination to make you smile....oh and nature as well hmmm the trifecta of happiness!!
I'll stick with beautiful women.

I prefer my AF15 slash piece of paper any day of the week over a marriage piece of paper!! It actually makes me happy!!
Yea until one of your right edge chips divorces your cover.

Marriage divorce rates are 50% if not 60% (I don't see that as a good deal to be jumping on at all) so don't give me all this marriage is all sooo sooo good of a life....most of the time there is always one of the 2 that loves the other more and most people stick together either for the kids sake or money or both....very rarely because both truly love each other. I have talked with a lot of elderly people and they always say the same thing when my husband or wife passed away at first it was hard but ever since I got over it these have been the best years of my life....with only a few exceptions of course. I work in the filed of human behavior son don't try to feed me all this non sens about how pretty married life is for most. A lot of married people are in denial or just don't want to go threw the whole hassle of getting out of it. Anyways we should get back to AF15 this is not a marriage chat board.
No matter the topic you still sound clueless. Marry your AF15.

Fees going up but are the tier values going up too? Or we are stuck paying more for books that are getting inflation hikes
-
CGC grading fees.
Am I going crazy or are the grading fees increasing and the book value caps are staying the same for each tier?
-
Idk doesn't make sense. Gimme a non CC record breaker at this point.

Big question, I own an AF-15 3.0 With slight-A resto (light color touch)
About how much is it worth?
Based on your pictures, it's super clean and too bad the resto is slight(A) but at auction my guess 5-6k?
-
That's the Winnipeg copy and I got clobbered. I thought maybe I could snag for under 1000$.

What puts upper same grade AF15s in different classes is the clarity of the grays, the centering, and a clean right edge where the thumb rests (ie, no smudging). The grays are average on this 8.0 and the right edge has some tanning and smudging on it. Still should bring a nice price. The final hammer could go higher if Ali & Frazier are the last 2 bidders standing.
Peewee, don't you have an 8.0 somewhere? Post a pic of that babe.

I believe this is only the third time at auction for an 8.0+ in Comiclink which includes the recent Voldy 9.0 the last five+ years. This is a really tough book and very interesting to see the final price.
Not loving the 8.0 considering the two 7.5s that just sold on clink for 85/87k look just as good but my guess 120k
