It's a bit like that isn't it? Whenever I see a Wolverine #35 out in the wild I feel compelled to buy it just because of this thread. But...you know...I'd rather keep that dollar. II think it would be even funnier if it was a thread dedicated to X-Men #1 released in the early 90's as hard to find in a high grade. Would you still be compelled to buy that issue after 66 pages of discussion? Oh god i could only hope. I have 80 copies of it...

I actually thought i would sell my pp1 at $500 when that number was tossed around a couple of months ago. $1000 is the new $500.

Not slabbed, not high grade, held together by 1 staple, but price was right, and it's a #4, the earliest issue I have..

I grabbed this when it came out and have wondered why it took this long.

Agreed. The low print run, good twist an a classic story, possible tv show makes it a winner. I will say it again, so glad i got mine for cover 3 weeks after release.

Thought bubble issue seems to have icky spines. I looked at all 6, ugh.

My LCS frowns on speculation. They limit the buys. I drive alot. I visit 13 other stores. Those 13 dont limit my buys. ( my LCS has the best selection though) I've gone to my LCS for 20 years with a 12 year gap. But still....

For what its worth, i nominated someone when they threw the takeit and then backed out because they found it cheaper somewhere else.
