Man, i started reading the modern forum as just the right time. i have 4 first print runs of ToT 1-4, 4 issues of Hardcore, peter panzaurfat #1, hell yeah 1 and 2, epic kill 1, and i paid cover price for all. I sometimes wonder if im taking a gamble getting them all slabbed.

I'm currently at 6600 Marvel/DC and about 1200 Valiant/Image/Dark Horse etc... Looking to dump the independents and DC issues except for Flash Vol1.

Wow, and I just noticed that the X-men 94 I received in September on the 23rd was exactly 1000 issues after the ones I just got back.. So of course the higher value comic got processed first, then 1000 other comics, then this current set. All were sent in at the same time. So roughly 3.5 months to process 1000 comics. Sound about right?

I sent in some books on August 15th, 2011. I just received them today. X-Men #97 9.0 X-Men #99 7.5 X-Men #105 9.4 X-Men #108 8.0 X-Men #109 8.5 Qualified (Detached from Top staple) (oops) X-Men #110 8.0 X-Men #113 9.0 Needless to say, I think that with the prices going up, and the seriously long delay (way more than 40 days as posted on CGC site), that the above will be my last submission, and from now on, I will only buy already slabbed books.

yep. just like GI JOE 21 and ASM 301, now they're everywhere. And those two polybagged UXM in the late 290s. I have to disagree here. The UXM books had pressable defects. GI Joe 21 did not have an issue with defects in the print run. ASM 301 is pretty much the same as GI Joe 21. Yes, those didn't have the same issues as #35. It may be possible that CGC may someday recognize the flaw, and not count off for it, but that's doubtful (and probably wouldn't be accepted.) Imagine the quick influx of #35's to be submitted hoping to be the first one and flipped.

Yup, same here, and 30 mins ago I was just in that box pulling out 3 #1's and a #10 to submit for pre-screening. Since I forgot the Swamp Thing issues, I suppose I should go grab #35 and see what it looks like. Same here. I was thinking - mine most likely has it too but I had better check. Darnit, looked at my copy, has the same friggin defect.. Now I know to pay attention to that issue more when I'm out and about..
