I'm not sure I like their version of Alfred either. I like my Alfred to be more "refined English gentleman" and less "Cockney street tough."

I'm still on the fence about this series. I like the concept and want to like the show, but some of the acting and dialogue is cringe-worthy. I'm in agreement that Penguin, Gordon, Selina, and, to an extent, Bullock are done well. I even kind of like the Riddler character. Fish Mooney and the rest of the gangsters are pretty laughable. Jada Pinkett Smith needs to take it down a notch or two.

Received my second package from Brian in the last week and couldn't be happier. Lonetree is a top notch boardie.

Someone told me you can typically tell what made the pre screen cut before grades post. Is that correct? Yes. You'll be able to tell once they hit graded. If they are Moderns, "Modern" will be listed under Category. If it's not there, that book didn't make it.

I'd call now. That seems unusually long for a one book FT sub.

I bought a CGC comic from Mike and he shipped quickly in bulletproof packaging. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

day 15 not including weekends>>>5 day Magazine Express Submission receive Aug 18 was told it will be ship to me by Friday 9/5 no email receive or imaged. From experience, magazine submissions can be unexpectedly longer than normal. It's the encapsulation. I was told they have to stop and re-calibrate the machine for the larger slab size. Of course maybe they now have more machines ? At this point I don't think unexpectedly can ever be used in the same sentence as late when it comes to CGC. Ftr I like CGC. I just don't get why people don't vote for change with their wallets. Stop subbing for awhile. I guarantee the world will not come to a crashing halt. Demand they address their lateness issue. Continuing to give them money doesn't effect change. Anybody ever ask CGC why they don't invoice at the time they ship? Lots of businesses operate in such a fashion. I'd bet a years salary against anybody that there delivery performance would improve 10 fold if they were getting paid after they delivered and not before. This is essentially how pre-screens operate and those run even later than standard submissions.

UPDATE: One invoice shipped 9/2. Still waiting for the other invoice to ship despite them being received at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME. #FIFO

I think Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam would ROCK (sorry). But no matter who he plays, who do they get to play the other role? It would have to be somebody just as big and physically imposing to make it believable. Right? I think they could get away with a slightly smaller Shazam since Billy Batson is a kid and Black Adam is an adult, but not vice versa.

This makes me wonder how far behind they are on pre-screens. I have a pre-screen from 6/13 still at Verified.

No movement at all since the last update. Anyone else have a pre-screen in the system from around the same time?

Have the same tier that was received 2 weeks after yours wonder if I can close the gap. Has yours hit verified yet? Nope have one set of prescreen at rec'd on June 27 and another on July 3. Regular modern on June 27 also still at received. If I'm lucky, I might have them ship a month from now. In the meantime, I'd like to see them go to graded so I can see which ones passed and which ones didn"t.

I think they stopped sending the email notifications. Probably because the registered tracking numbers were wrong 90% of the time.

There is a preview of Darkhawk #1 in MA 97, but Darkhawk does not appear in the story. Darkhawk appears on the cover and on a pin-up on the inside. If we go by this criteria, then Previews magazine is where most characters' first appearances would be.

Consider yourself lucky. I have a reholder for ONE book received 6/13. It just went to grading/QC YESTERDAY.
