  1. If anyone is asking if a comic could be the next Walking Dead weeks before the first issue hits, it definitely will not be. IF there is such a thing, it will be underhyped (under ordered) and take a while to hit that status That said, this looks like it will be a good read, so enjoy it for what it is.
  2. I'm pretty sure the original solicitation said full color.
  3. Why not call it like it is then? 8.5 to 9.6/9.8 is a fairly large gap, so the seller clearly isn't confident in his grading abilities. I think he undergrads to avoid an "item not as described" issue, but that's my If the grade is important to you, then I would wait for a nicer copy on eBay, or, better yet, get one here from someone who can pinpoint the grade for you,
  4. I think there's pretty much a zero chance DF fast tracks the Bedlam #1 submissions. Why would they do that and destroy their profit margin? That eBay seller is screwed once the inevitable case gets opened.
  5. Given the current CGC turnaround times, I don't think anyone is seeing their Bedlam 9.8s from Dynamic Forces until April. Could make presales tricky.
  6. Saw these listed in the solicitations on Bleeding Cool: BEDLAM #1 DETROIT FANFARE CVR (MR) $3.50 BEDLAM #1 FORBIDDEN PLANET CVR (MR) $3.50 BEDLAM #1 PHANTOM CVR (MR) $3.50 BEDLAM #1 THIRD EYE CVR (MR) $3.50 Counting the standard cover and the NYCC cover, that's 6 different covers already. Larry's cover may or may not be one of those listed above, and then there are the inevitable 2nd and 3rd print variants...
  7. I have to say, I was looking forward to this series, but the slew of variants is turning me off. I might skip the singles entirely and just wait for the trade.
  8. Didn't hurt Saga though. It all depends on how good the book is. If it's as good as Spencer claims it is, it'll likely be under ordered even if it sells 20K copies.
  9. Congrats to the seller. Too much for that book though considering it just came out two months ago.
  10. The actual numbers for the first print are higher than 37k in reality. The 37k projection is for U.S. initial orders and doesn't include U.K. orders or reorders. When publishers receive their numbers from Diamond, they don't get a breakdown of where the orders came from, just the totals.
  11. +1 I tried The Boys and couldn't get past the first issue. Ennis' Preacher had heart which I find lacking in his more recent works.
  12. Which came out first - Archer and Armstrong 0 or 1? #0 came out first. A month before #1.
  13. Hear that? It's the sound of everybody throwing copies of these books on eBay at the same time.
  14. +1. I thought #1 was very good, but #2 really pulled me into the series.
  15. 12. I have a feeling it will sell tonight. Did I mention that if it doesn't, the buy-it-now price might go up tomorrow?
  16. I'm surprised. I know if I really wanted something with a limited quantity (which this is) I'd pay the extra $$ to make sure I get it no questions asked.
  17. Yep, sitting on a $300 offer right now. Since Krighton's auction is already up to $300 with 5 hours to go, I'm not accepting that offer just yet. My prediction is once the auction gets closer to $350, one of the bidders will pull the trigger on the buy-it-now.
