  1. I will be starting up a copper/modern thread tonight featuring Fantastic Four from 222 through to present as well as variants, mini-series and one-shots. All scanned and ready to go, it should take about a week to list. I will have a few additional things to add at the end as well. Hope to see you there. Cheers Update I just became aware that the boards will update their software on Monday, February 6. In an effort to avoid any confusion, I have closed the thread and will either reopen it or start a new one after that time. See you on the other side in a few days
  2. Nice John Byrne painted cover. From The Fantastic Four Cronicles, a one shot from 1982 with interviews etc. Back cover same as the front sans logo.
  3. I remember being a contributor to his charity thread and as more information came to light, wished I had done my due diligence. Felt bad that my actions may have influenced others to join in without doing theirs. Voted
  4. Agreed. I liked them both as well. The movie more as a Lynch art house venture and the mini series for doing much greater justice to the novel/s. I thought Dune Messiah/Children of Dune was well done also - my favorite really with McAvoy as Leto. I was really hoping they would continue with God Emperor but to be fair, it's had to imagine that book as a movie at all. Heretics and Chapterhouse I think could be incredible given a chance. The Brian Herbert/Kevin J. Anderson books are I think on the opposite end of the literary scale when compared to Frank Herbert's work. They are much lighter in depth and tone and read pretty much as screen plays. Nonetheless, I have to admit I have found some of these a lot of fun and could see The Butlerian Jihad, The Machine Crusade and The Battle of Corrin as an excellent movie or three. I don't know if I'm scarred of this next venture but I'm happy the property is getting some attention and I have to agree with the other post that one movie is not enough to do the novel justice. Here's hoping for the best
  5. I am a big fan of Frank Herbert's Dune novels so I would be happy to see it hit the big screen again. Ideally though, I would like to see this as a TV series given the wealth of material to draw upon.
  6. Thanks for saving me some typing as I pretty much echo everything you have said here with emphasis on the bolded part. For my part, I found the movie to be character driven and the mid movie scene with Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus was amazing! I look forward to seeing this again.

  10. I thought it was really well done. Strong from beginning to end. The only thing I didn't like were the tie ins to marvel cinematic universe - an unnecessary distraction. For me at least I wish it could exist on it's own without any connection to the rest.
  11. 16,39,57 for me with 39 as my favorite. All great covers really.
  12. My modest 48. I love how even in supposed inaction, Kirby still creates tension and foreboding. A great book at a great time in a great title!
  13. I bought two high grade Avengers from Matt. Books are tightly graded and were shipped quickly and safely. I highly recommend and hope to buy from him again. Thanks!
  14. Two nice upgrades from the UK... John Buscema
  15. Congratulations! Such a great book! I would love to crack that baby out
  16. Very nice boardie! Great communication and quick payment. Look forward to dealing with again. Thanks David.
  17. Agreed. It's good to be in the old habit of quoting the book so the picture is with your post when you buy. That Mr. Sneeze is one smart guy. Canada folk are pretty clever eh!

  19. Great board member. Very friendly and fast payment for a charity sale. Look forward to dealing with again.
  20. Good luck to you Chip. Believe in yourself. Keep a picture of your daughter handy and see that you are rich beyond measure.
  21. I'm wondering why nothing I've done on these boards as far as transactions has any merit in that "fact." A lot of boardies have bought from me on eBay as well. None of those transactions have had any issues or are worth "losing trust" over. Also, I've used the donated funds for exactly what I said I would use them for. I'm wondering what the other sites have to do with anything right now. One of those was 15 years ago, I believe. I don't remember all three links but I know they were all years ago. Am I not entitled to try and improve aspects of my life? Truer words
  22. At one point, he claimed that he was trying to be better. I guess we now know that was a load of excrement I saw that comment and thought that was over the line, especially if what was said is actually true. No need to ever kick a person when they are down. I think that comment was possibly the lowest most awful thing ever stated on this forum. We don't need that kind of pathological awfulness here. there's been worse but that kind of krap is way out of line. some people just can't control what comes out of they're yap. I just saw that comment and winced! That was awful.
