The FF as it‘s own thing I think at least gives this a chance.

And if we as a society consume it, then I guess we get what we deserve.

Super hero movie fatigue. No genre lasts indefinitely. Wether you like/dislike them or they are awesome or not, general audiences are moving on with only fans remaining imho. Disney, Warner, Sony etc should focus on providing a product to their remaining audience that is cost effective and profitable, i.e. lower budgets, better movies or TV shows and most importantly, realistic expectations. Personally, I wish there was more animation.

is it bad form to try to negotiate a lower price on AbeBooks.com?

I don't see the harm. Worst case, they say no. -
Will James Gunn help, or hurt the future of DC Comics films?
Mr Sneeze replied to Shazam500's topic in The Movie Forum
I think Gunn is more style over substance. If GOTG is any indication, I expect a lot of yelling and really cool music. -
I thought the reboot to be very well done from beginning to end. It’s hard for me to imagine improving on it in any meaningful way. For me at least , one of the top tv series of all time. And yes, I thought the ending was brilliant.

THE BATMAN starring Robert Pattinson (2022)
Mr Sneeze replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Great film! Really liked the detective aspect and the slower pace. I put it up there with the Nolan movies easily. Very glad and a little surprised to see a film this artsy get made. -
We all like continuity to be sure but it’s amazing how quickly it becomes a prison, stifling creativity and ultimately becoming predictable. Movie franchises are like restaurant franchises, you don’t go for surprises. I love a big mac as much as anybody else though.

Totally agree! I wish they would put out quality animated features. Maybe save some money and keep and develop a fan base. If you told me the Galactus trilogy or the kree skrull war were in development, I would be more excited about it than in any live action movie. Oh and f continuity, make things self contained.

Is it wrong for me to wish you watching 90% computer generated writing from here on out.

Dr Doom came to life on the big screen in a little sci-fi fantasy film back in 1977. Those in the know, know who came first, but for everyone else, he will seem a copy.

Sad News...CGC Mike's mother has passed away
Mr Sneeze replied to skypinkblu's topic in Comics General
So sorry for your loss Mike. My condolences to you and your family. -
Sometimes it feels as if a movie is secondary to what has become the reviewverse. I miss the daily paper and only having to avoid one review.

Go back if your interested and watch Bullet (Steve McQueen) or Duel (Spielbergs first made for TV movie) or Road Warrior (first Mad Max). There are many others, but all classic chase movies. Simple plots, require almost no dialogue, great stunts (an understatement) and hold tension throughout. Fury Road follows in this tradition and embellishes. It‘s beautiful to look at and in this age of cgi (most of it bad) the practical stunts and sets are gorgeous. It is beautifully crafted, entirely self consistent and by my standard, a perfect film. Pure cinema. Also, I have to thank you for reminding me of Duel.

Fox Studios' WOLVERINE 3 - LOGAN starring Hugh Jackman (2017)
Mr Sneeze replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Still the best imho, and it’s not even close for me. -
If it’s as bad as vol 2, then they still owe me money.
