  1. Absolutely not a problem. In fact, I would pay extra to see it.
  2. After a few iterations all superhero team names will be reduced to a grunt.
  3. Dr Strange, other than his brief introduction, has been nothing more than a means to an end in the MCU. A sad state for what is imho, one of comics more sophisticated and nuanced characters. Unfortunately, he is hardly the only one.
  4. The suits are ready and now, most importantly they need to find a cast to fit them properly.
  5. The novelty is long gone and my nostalgia long spent. These stories simply work better for me on newsprint and in most cases, only work on newsprint. But I'm an old man with a penchant for grumpiness.
  6. Andy is by far, one of the most generous people I’ve had the good fortune to meet.
  7. I like Adam Driver and Marvel would be lucky to have him but for his own benefit, he should get as far away from the MCU as possible.
  8. Sadly, I would not be surprised if most Marvel movie goers unfamiliar with the source material think one person is responsible for everything. Not meant as an insult to the said person, merely that it is an insult to the many talented writers and artists who have given us so much.
  9. Taglines… It‘s going to be so good that focusing may be difficult.
  10. I‘m thinking it’s going to be win win.
  11. On a comic page, disagree. Live action, agree but I kind of feel like most superheroes don’t translate well.
  12. Teach the owner of the comics how to grade, maybe charge him 1000 bucks and spend a few days with him and then leave them to him.
  13. I think of NFTs as an evolutionary benchmark in which the universal record keeper scratches any civilization who creates them off the ‘intelligent’ list.
  14. I think Jackson did a good job making a trilogy that paid it’s debts and went on to turn a profit. The more divorced from the source material one is, the better the movies seem. They have not aged well with me, especially the gutting of Gandalfs character to the point of utter ridiculousness. It’s a shame because it didn’t have to be that way. That said, the death of Borimir is a remarkable and beautiful scene ( The Fellowship is by far the best adaptation Imho) as is the scene with Eyowin, Merry and the Witchking. Another thing that saves Jacksons loth trilogy is the cast. I can’t even talk about the Hobbit.
  15. You know, I was thinking about that, and maybe Johnathan Kents sacrifice is part of what informs Kals decision to end Zod. In that moment he sees in humans self sacrifice which he doesn’t see in Zod. Certainly, it’s more subtle and complicated but he makes a human decision just as Johnathan did.
  16. Thanos is certainly well acted but he doesn’t own the screen the way Shannon does (few do I imagine). You only have to compare their deaths to see the difference. We still talk about Zod’s but who cares about Thanos’ demise. I’m sure it’s my own bias/taste but the MCU has no teeth. If Marvel had the guts to end at Infinity war and let Thanos win, drop the mic and end the MCU there, then we would have something really unique. You’re right, Thanos is well written but I just don’t care nearly as much. MoS as best? I’d give it a close second behind Logan.
  17. Shannon sits alone at the apex here imho. Thanos is a cartoon in comparison.
  18. Something like this coming to light 4 years after his passing is certainly going to invite some skepticism.
  19. Wether comics or cards, it always feels like they view either as widgets.
