  1. You never forget how...it's like riding a bike. There's a few bikes I've ridden over the years I'd like to forget about You've been to Wales as well Bane wouldn't make it through passport control I made it to Cardiff though

  3. The question is are you making him Rarebit or have you forgotten how to?
  4. I think the same thing about this Detective #1 that went for £9.00 in the UK, yet mine at £1 cheaper did not have a single watch or bid. I checked the bidding history on the book and its been made private so it wouldn't surprise that it was shilled.
  5. Been waiting months to get my hands on this Batman #181 CGC 9.4 White Pages
  6. Here's my latest Neal Adams book Batman #232 CGC 9.8 Off-White to White Pages
  7. Here are 3 of the books I picked up from the London con. My thanks goes to Nick (F_T) and Bob Storms, I owe you gentlemen a beverage Batman #181 CGC 9.4 White Pages Batman #228 CGC 9.6 Off-White to White Pages Batman #232 CGC 9.8 Off-White to White Pages
  8. The problem with #227 is I'm up against "Adams collectors", "key" collectors and god knows who else. Damnit people I just want to complete my Bat run
  9. This is the only Marvel I'd want to own, being a Batman guy. There is something about this cover and the yellow used in the "Hulk" along with the background and grey Hulk that just makes it stand out for me. I prefer this cover over AF15, ASM 1 and FF1. The only other cover is the Iron Man 1st app. Beautiful copies of Hulk #1 on show in this thread, my hats off to you owners and I look with a certain amount of envy
  10. That does look like all kinds of awesome.
  11. Latest observations from the UK... Detective Comics #1 1st Print is all over the place, one copy sold for $16 prompting me to list mine with a starting price of $12 but not a single watch thus far with 3 days to go. I've seen other copies go for less then $10, sets of #1-5 1st printings go for $15. The #1 for $16 must have been a bidding war. Superman #75 - Bagged versions Not sure if this is just generally but this book is a good seller lately with sealed copies going for $25, I have my unsealed copy with trading card missing on at $7.50 with a bid already. Fatale Beauty Cover 1st Print - Consistently sells between $7 - $15. Severed complete 1st prints #1-7 - Consistently sells for $25 Gotham City Sirens #1-26 - Last complete set sold for $55
  12. Wow, whats the cgc 9.0 gonna go for ? I'm glad I got my 9.2 when I did That is a very nice book you have. I'd love to get a nice copy, but I just can't drive myself to really pursue this book for some reason. Prices are really high compared to other key Adams books. I guess it's because 1) I don't think the cover is all that special, 2) I'm really not a Beatles fan at all, and 3) I've read the book and it's got to be one of the most silly stories ever penned, even compared to other tales from the era. My problem is: a) I'm collecting the Batman title and need it b) I'm a high grade snob! But checking the numbers there are only 1 9.8, 3 9.6, 11 9.4s. There are more #227s then #222s in high grade. Wish I had grabbed that 9.4 off eBay last year but I just couldn't justify the price tag associated with it.
  13. Wow, whats the cgc 9.0 gonna go for ? I'm glad I got my 9.2 when I did I'm beginning to wish I had kept that now and the other raw copy I sold which was a 9.0.
  14. fwertham? Has small feedback but has been selling some nice Bat books lately, has a #222 for sale as well. Thanks for the headsup mate (thumbs u
  15. 9.0 #227 currently on eBay, $365 with 6 days to go. Not a bad looking copy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATMAN-227-CGC-9-0-VF-NM-BRONZE-KEY-TEC-27-COVER-SWIPE-NEAL-ADAMS-COVER-/230741998131?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item35b94b7a33
  16. I'll take the pics of the scantily clad women then, and if they're lucky, back at my hotel room too
  17. I was thinking about doing a con report. Will have to be from my camera phone.
  18. Without sounding like a stuck record, got any super HG Marvel stuff? Only thing I have is a Spectacular Spider-Man #1 which I think is a 9.2 but it has a tea stain on the back cover which according to over-street brings that down to a 6.5?
  19. I doubt I will be buying anything at the con, I’ll just be picking up stuff I bought months ago, nothing substantial, just a Bat #181 9.4 and a Bat #232 9.8… I’ve got an ASM something or other to get off F_T to be signed by Stan and then CGC’d so will be a while before I get my hands on that little piece of history. I’m bringing some books for Dai so if anyone else is interest in anything from my 5,000 collection let me know and I’ll send lists out? Still toying with the idea of having a Swamp Thing signed by Wrightson but its too low grade to really be worth slabbing but then whats the point of an unverified sig.
  20. Didn't someone mention earlier that Batwoman #0 was doing well? I sold the standard copy for $17 and the 1:10 Variant for $18.
  21. So when is the time to sell Fatale #1? I monitored one on eBay UK and it sold for £5.50/$8.00.
