  1. Well look at that!! UXM 423 Error and ... the dreamwalker #0 ... i so totally want one of those ... !!!
  2. Not bad for 50% off Yeah, it was 50% off guide at 9.2 (NM). $150 bones. 9.0 lists at $200 so i was pretty stoked.
  3. Picked this up at the Sac-Con today ... on sale, 50% off. About a 9.2 in grade ...
  4. I'll respectfully disagree - there are a lot more people who collect raw copies of Bone #1 than slabbed ones, so having this book signed doesn't really carry the stigma it does with other books. I've cracked out mid-grade SS copies and sold them raw (with the CGC grade noted, of course) on eBay for more than what the SS copies go for  Fair enough - i guess my point only belongs to those that are insistent on having a blue or yellow label. BTW, just to disclose, i own Chew #1 and Dead @ 17 (1 - 4) all signed RAW; so my own feelings about GLOD are ambiguous.
  5. $300 almost seems a little high for a GLOD ... even if it is a BONE 1 ... the scan suggests a 9.2 / 9.4 grade. I'd be curious if you actually do get on your final opinion on the book. Matt
  6. Nice one Matt... as Harry said CGC is tough on bronze variants but that looks like a 9.4 at least if the back cover is nice. Good luck! I'm hoping so. BTW, did you get a 77 error? ... hope you grabbed one ... i'll post a back cover in the morning ...
  7. That is a sweet copy. (thumbs u Any story behind finding it? Yeah ... i'd been working on a perfect run of Vol 1 1963 x-men and this showed up in the Heritage auction about two years ago. I had just finished acquiring the 106 from Ebay and the 107 from comiclink and considered myself lucky. I bid high on it and got it ... stuffed it in the long box with the rest of them; but then realized about 6 months ago that the highest graded is only a 9.4. this copy, i believe can break that, but it'll be close ...
  8. Yeah ... buy it. I'm jealous. Of this and those King SS's ... gotta get one of those someday ...
  9. Well known x-men 105 ... this is very high grade ... just need to sub it.
  10. There was also supposed to be a 1:100 sketch variant that was an actual sketch that was recently quietly cancelled. My LCS is inquiring about his because I ordered 100 clockworks just for this variant. Better be some compensation! D'oh. The publisher should take the 100 copies back under the pretense that they didn't supply their end of the advertised bargin (i.e. the 1:100 variant). I wonder why the cancelled it? Maybe they didn't sell enough of the regular cover to justify it?
  11. I just picked up one of these off eBay, didn't know anything about it until I saw your post, so thanks for the tip. (thumbs u Pics or it didn't happen. Genus #2 is a tough, tough book - I brought one to get signed by Moore at NYCC, and he said he didn't even have a copy in his own collection. This one is pretty rare as well - Hit the Beach 93, which has Terry Moore's first published work: And the deluxe version of the same book: So awesome Mike .. so awesome.
  12. Congrats. I still regret selling both my copies (to boardies here). I'm sure there's a chance this copy is one of them. I wouldn't be surprised. I really love this book ...
  13. Thought i'd contribute some of my books. I have a fairly diverse collection but try to specialize in unique, sometimes HTF (sometimes not) books. Here are a few samples -- yup...SC22 this is a 9.4 to 9.6 copy ... a fun cover. This is the awe4one copy ... and from another boardie ... very happy to own this (Cry for Dawn 3 Horror Con and signed!):
  14. Yes, but it won't be for much longer. I know of another one in process right now ... mine, i just sent to CGC without pressing or clean up. If i cracked it and sent it to Joey, i could prolly squeeze another couple of points out of it....
  15. Ok, ok. I think i'm getting the picture that it's not that tough ... oh well. I tried.
  16. I kind of miss having the book, and CGC seems to assign value to make-ready books, so I might have had something perceived by others as quite valuable. I know how you feel. I have a book ... this (circa 2003, yes i know this is about the 90's, just as an example) And from time to time i have considered trading it .. but i know i would regret it for all eternity ... it's a book i'll never ever ever see again. it's that tough.
  17. Super quick ship and the book was well packaged. Thanks for the sale!!!
  18. And I woild love to have it Love Dead @17 Me three. I gave up since it's IMPOSSIBLE to get some of you guys to let these books go...
  19. Hey! ... i got one of those. Love it very much. Wish CGC would touch it, but they wont ...
  20. A super big thanks to Chuck for my books. Quick ship, well packaged and a true pleasure to deal with. Thanks Chuck!! Matt
  21. Agreed Getting it slabbed? Of course. I'll post the grade once it comes back ... thanks for the grades everyone, i really hope you all are right.
  22. Welcome to the club. Definitely looks better than a 3.0 from the scans. Many thanks. I tend to be harder on the grading that they actually are. that way, i never set myself up for disappointment ... 8)
