  1. Proud to be a member now. As part of an appraisal i did for a rather large GA/SA collection, i charged this as my fee. I believe it's a solid 3.0 ... has some spine stress, mild / moderate heat shadowing - but other than that ... i own a SC 22.
  2. Lethargic Comics Weakly 2 9.0 W $40. The most difficult one of the entire run to find – very difficult. http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=138211 ... and i got it in the mail. this was the second or third i saw on the boards. methinks not that hard. great cover though.
  3. I just picked up one of these off eBay, didn't know anything about it until I saw your post, so thanks for the tip. (thumbs u Pics or it didn't happen.
  4. Several of us did via the sales threads and onsite at SDCC. you may want to check out the copper/modern sales on these forums...
  5. These are great books. Gonna have to get them now ... *sigh*
  6. WOW. How about a discussion on the Philly #1 eh Frank? That's a big one for me ... send me a PM if you'd be interested in letting one of your 2 to 3 copies go ... Matt
  7. Got it .. .thanks for the side by side ... i'll keep an eye out for a gold one to add.
  8. that's pretty sweet. When was it printed ... ? Never mind. I just bought it on ebay ... seriously. I see a SILVER holographic cover just sold for $19.99 from comix4all...was that the one you bought? The silver holo is common. This is the GOLD holo. HAHA ... yes, well there you go. I guess that's what happens when you run without the research... hehe. Soooooo, tell me more about the gold .... There you go. It's not a bad price to pay for it, even still. The golds were made for every silver holo cover out there. They are all extremely rare, with the exception of Ultraforce, which was only produced in gold. Most people aren't even aware the golds exist. Interesting. So, for future reference, how do i tell it's a gold from silver? Then i'll know what to hunt for and can add it to my list with Josh Howards Dead @17 self-printing ... heh
  9. how did you find that listing so quick I dunno. I just typed in Ultravese and *poof* there it was. Are you sure this isin't the Silver version of this book vs the gold ... ^ see above post ...

  21. Holy *Spoon* ... I love it. ... i would totally have this book on display.
  22. That is my knowledge as well - hence the request for the scan...
  23. The books that were offered inside the box were UXM 303, UXM 307 and X-Men 11. The mail away form could have landed you any one of those or UXM 297. From what I understand, the 297 was only available via the mail in coupon. I'm still not sure if you were guaranteed one of the books in the box. Let us know how it turns out! Arrived today... Had X-Men 307 inside in fantastic condition. No idea what it's really worth... The BiN on the only copy on ebay is $55. Apparently it's one of the harder to locate? I thought it was a 9.8, but after scanning it, I noticed what looks like a printer crinkle along the top edge. Not sure if CGC would ding for that nor not. It's almost imperceptible in hand; almost like it was there prior to printing... The pics are hotlinks to bigger scans if you're curious. Like I said in the other thread... I also found a high grade X-Men #295 Pressman variant when I was at the storage unit the other day. So it looks like I have both the #295 and #303 variants. I think you mean #297, not #295 Nope...it's #295. It has the same Pressman game back cover. Hmm ... i'm sorry, but i was under the impression that there were only 4 pressman books; UXM 297, 303, and 307; X-men 11 (silver) ... there's a fifth? Can you provide a scan of the front and back just so i'm clear?
