  1. Yep, Toast is awesome. On a general note, I find the asymmetry that permeates these sorts of situations interesting...buyers want refunds if grade is slightly lower than seller's estimate, but never pay the seller more if grade comes back higher than seller's estimate. If a seller says hey its a 9.8 and doesn't come back a 9.8 then they should be refunded. If the buyer gets a gift from cgc well that's great. Dre does 9.8 subbing all the time. If a book comes back 9.9 you pay for it. Is that what happened here not sure. HOWEVER if you want to put a number on it and can't stand behind it then you should refund. I like the way Dre does things with the policy on higher grades. But I would have no problem with a seller who said if it comes back 9.9 you have first refusal on it as long as you pay X% more. As long as they were up front, people could make their decision whether or not to buy. I'm sure many wouldn't, but I don't think having that as a policy would be shady at all. Oh agreed the "extra" for a 9.9 is totally up to the first buyer and seller and work their way down. I don't think an extra policy must be included as long as you can fulfill the order you promised. If you have 10 ppls wanting 9.8s and you sub 10 books and 1 gets a 9.9 you could be in a world of pain if you can't get a buyer since you don't have a 10th 9.8.
  2. Can't prescreen SS books. MOST sellers over submit to ensure they cover everyone.

  4. Almost par for what an AF15 in grade goes for Not too sure about that. That 6.0 AF 15 in the CC auction could flirt with $30k. -J. 2014 (1) $25,000Hi 2013 (1) $17,925Hi 2012 (6) $22,108Hi $17,533Lo Not many sales to to compare but falls right in line with those points...

  6. That's been the one odd thing. You pick an 8 PM time slot, but some of the show focuses on content that really would be better off later in the night. This is why I think Constantine is doing much better, though it is experiencing less viewership. At 10 PM, they can go crazy and show blood and gore and not have such a worry if kids are watching this. That has to be one of my favorite CB shows right now. Blood, gore, demons, violence etc but heaven forbid he has a cigarette. *full disclosure* I don't smoke and I think its bonkers
  7. Yeah, I don't disagree...PM'ing would be better at that point...that's a good suggestion for him (thumbs u Oh it has been suggested.
  8. We could be more diligent about closing our WTB threads if we are indeed no longer seeking the book. That way it'll be clear to him when an OP is no longer seeking a response. I find more irritation in the way he's responding (e.g., "If you're interested, please respond"), rather than the fact that he is responding. Also, strange that the only posts he has ever made are responses to WTBs...still, hard to fault a guy for responding to WTBs that aren't closed. It's perfectly plausible that those OPs are still looking for those books, and might even appreciate the response. There are other things going on in the WTB thread that I find infinitely more irritating than a guy who quite possibly is sincerely trying to help someone out. Oh they could be still looking for it but after a month of checking your thread on the Wtb board and no response your not checking again. If he is looking to help them simply pm as he has been requested rather than bump the still active threads deeper.
  9. How do we get that helmet wearing to stop bumping 6 month old WTB threads? He has been pm'd by several members to stop.

  15. Back troubles. No guessing required. And I'm not going to nominate the guy to the PL. I just wonder if I should out him. whether or not the issues are real, I would like to know that going forward should the individual wish to buy and wants to do time payments etc that for them a non refundable deposit would be required.
  16. I bet if you outed them it would def not help their case for the next month buying books. I was just informed a birdy told me that the post office left a box on my front steps.
