while I agree with most of the sentiments of this topic that they are very harsh graders, I have sold to them many times and the thought that I am correct in my grading at 10-15% of the time would be accurate, if you don't take it personal and want to move a lot of stuff quickly that you purchased to flip anyway, you will not be disappointed they pay quickly and its stuff I don't have use or the time to list on ebay they are not a bad option. You need to take their grading with a grain of salt as it is not a personal attack just business....... Now don't get me started on their shipping "rebate" that is harder to take than their harsh grading. what costs me $15 to ship they rebate about 20% of what it costs me......you have to balance out the fees for paypal, ebay etc and compare to what you can get from lonestar knowing the issues before you ship out stuff. but 10-15% grading success is pretty accurate. now maybe if you had the ability to press your own stuff you'd do better with them

this show promises to be the closest thing to an old school comic con more dealers in comics than the last major 3 day con in buffalo held less than a month ago. Cosplay, artists and plenty of comic vendors, Price iis the most reasonable admission in a long time. I for one am very happy to attend this type of show. I am looking for 5 early ASM books to complete my collection, 1-4 and 14. Blowie: kind of what i figured 6 dealers listed in exibitors on their web site> None of the wrestling celebrities had any forum panels scheduled i kind of had a feeling that buffalo may not be the place for a cultural event like a 3 day comic show. Especially when there are 2 larger shows within driving distance of this one. I live here and love comcs but have no interest in investing time and money for a show where i would be ready to leave in less than 2 hrs.It great to have a collectable show like dave and adams local to shop at but you think that they would do some research as to the benefit of a 3 day show vs a 1 day show do away with the celebs, get back to the basics of more comic dealers and less of the other stuff, community beer works, Lasic vision repair, paulas doughnuts, clothing etc what a joke. We kind of look a bit foolish if you ask me in the convention scene. based on the pics ( turnout) i though it might be a ted hanes show......

you know how when you glance over something quickly and respond without thinking things thru, I now realize i may have been too hasty in my off the cuff response. I am not blaming red hood for being upset with this sleazy practice because of you ask someone a direct question it is up to the seller to disclose what they know. This seller really is a piece of "work" and is very unethical, This type of seller should be called out and rightly so. What i meant to say is that Before I lay down any hard earned $$$ If i looked at a book and it was obvious to me that it was somehow manipulated (ie color touch) and I really did not want to take a chance on a restored book, i could put the book back and purchase somewhere else. does not get the seller off the hook, The buyer is not at fault in this case for sure but if I was in his shoes would not have purchased a book that to me appeared altered no mater what i was told by a seller. thanks

thanks for the warning but when you have the book in hand and something looks suspicious, why would you shell out cash regardless of what the owners said?? Why take a chance when you have the evidence in hand?? over the internet ebay etc I could certainly see your point however, you had the chance to back out but took their word for it?? this one is on both of you
