  1. This was one of my Christmas gifts from my girlfriend!
  2. unfortunately I have not ever pursued that next level...I pretty much just accumulate comics and then set up at shows, and occasionally post some sales threads here...as the mood strikes me one of these days, if I ever take the vintage business to the next level, I will post to our website, but I have just not been motivated to do so yet... I am, however, working on a complete list of what I have (inv) that I can pm folks if they so desire...won't be done till after new year, but that will at least be a starting place That sounds great! I'd definitely be interested in that list when it becomes available! Thank you for all your help!
  3. Is there any way we can see what comics you have for sale? (website, etc)
  4. 2011 is on its way out... The year is almost ending and it's just about a year that I started collecting comics. Mistakes were made, money was spent, but in all I'd call it a great experience. (sounds weird) After being on this site and learning from everyone I feel I'm ready to go out there come 2012 and make wise decisions and improve on collecting. As the time passes I'm sure I'll learn the ropes and be able to have an amazing collection as most of you do! Can't wait to see more of your collections! Good luck in 2012, I will return with some GA/SA Batman!! Raul
  5. Love all the rooms! I was just wondering has anyone ever had shelving made by Comic Cubes??
  6. Purchased a raw Batman comic and Batman Vengeance of Bane 2 from Jason and received it very fast!! Great communication and great packaging. (thumbs u
  7. Just completely forgot about a Batman 121 CGC 6.0 on eBay, that ended up selling for $365.00!!
  8. Have you ever noticed that Batman always used the saying "Great Scott" during that era? And that he was getting attacked by weird people/creatures?
  9. Thank you for the advice! And right now for Batman my goal is to collect 6.0 or better. Some issues I might have to get lower due to funding. Hopefully that will change within time. And GA Wonder woman I've noticed are kind of hard to track down. (maybe I've just been concentrating on Batman too much)
  10. Dear G.A.tor, What tips can you give as to finding and buying golden ages comics for a newbie like myself? And what golden age comics should I be going after right now? (I collect Batman and Wonder Woman) more Batman.
  11. I have attempted to read a couple hundred pages of this thread and have yet to figure out what it's topic is!? Edit: Nice!! Just realized my titled changed with this post!
  12. Anniversary Gift! (sorry for the bad scan)
  13. My trick was I told her I would collect some Wonder Woman comics for her. But she only goes for the modern ones cause she says that Wonder Woman looks younger and sexier. Thanks! I wonder what my birthday and Christmas will look like.
  14. Got this as an anniversary gift! (sorry about the bad scan)
  15. Not really a garage sale but when I decided to actually start collecting this year (yes I'm a noob) I checked out a small comic expo where they have a no minimum bid auction. Where I happened to get my run of Batman #400 straight through to the current 700's all in vf to nm condition! (all for $75, the only thing really missing were variants) and detective #500 through the 700's with a few gaps. (all for $22) (thumbs u
  16. Have you ever thought to yourself when you first started collecting "What am I getting myself into?".... Have you ever thought to yourself when you first started collecting "What am I getting myself into?".... I've never liked being the new guy (but who really does?). I've just started collecting BATMAN (1940s)comics and love it so far. In the course of two months I've managed to collect issues 400-708 (which is the current issue). As I reach the lower numbers I have learned that this is where it really turns into a different type of "game". My goal is to eventually collect all of the Batman (1940s) comics and hopefully be able to get the key issues graded. I should be trying to go slow and take my time with collecting but whenever I'm buying someplace I just want to get them all. So my many props are given to all of you that have been collecting for a long time. If you have any tips for me please feel free to help out! I hope to learn more from you all.
