  1. This is not really comic related but it's most likely going in my office/comic room. My gf bought this as an anniversary gift for me. Apparently her friend babysits for a man that owns a store that sells sports memorabilia. She remembered that I've always wanted an autographed jersey from Don Larsen, Marino Riveria, or Michael Jordon. So she called her friend and asked if she could talk to her boss. The guy apparently had the Marino and Jordan jerseys but decided Larsen would be her choice for me. Although he didn't have the Don Larsen jersey, he happened to know Don Larsen's manager. A few emails were sent and he got Mr. Don Larsen to sign an authentic wool Yankees jersey for me! Now our anniversary isn't until next week but apparently there's one more gift waiting for me. I think I'm going to buy this woman an engangement ring soon. Now Mr. Don Larsen was the first and only pitcher to ever pitch a perfect game in the MLB postseason and World Series history. This was during game 5 vs the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956.
  2. Oops, I definitely meant 8.5. Yeah I know I'm dreaming that the prices would reach those levels. But I guess it's all a matter of wishful dreaming and hoping I run into someone willing to spend that kind of cash.
  3. No i doubt it. That's a little too close to what my gf paid for it. That's why I'd probably only get rid of it for a ridiculous price. An 8.0 sold recently for 5,000 so I'll probably hold on to it until a 7.0 hits like 3,000. (if that was even possible). I know..I'm a dreamer.
  4. I want to put my 7.0 up with a ridiculous price just to see if someone out there would buy it.
  5. If yours hits over 1,000 I would sell mine ASAP! But then I would miss my copy. :-(
  6. Welcome to the club. One of my fav keys.
  7. They left a hole on the top in case you decided to put in the light. LEDs are usually available at Ikea. Do you guys have a link to these cases? I think I might need one. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10011055/ Hopefully this works cause I'm pasting this from my iPhone.

  9. Thanks. Yes it's from Ikea, $65.00 and I believe it comes in the black-brown or light wood color. How sturdy does it seem to you? I like the case but it seems a tad flimsy. The glass is is pretty thick, and there is no wiggle when I try shaking it, being that some of ikea's things are pretty flimsy.

  11. Just bought this display case today. I'm not sure which comics to put inside though.
  12. I saw that comic on comic link but I was being cheap and didn't get it. Congrats on the great buy! I need to find one too!!
  13. My gf purchased that same wonder woman print signed by Greg Horn too!
  14. Just purchased from a fellow board member. (thanks Mike)
  15. Looks like the 8.5 on comiclink sold for $5,000.
  16. Great pictures!!! The lions and elephant are amazing!
  17. Yeah!! That's the one I liked much better! Those other colors are awesome too.
  18. I remember someone playing around with the colors on the 232 cover a while back, it looked good in the tan/brownish color they used.
  19. I don't think the bat books are worth more than tecs. Most Bat books seem to be way more affordable than tecs thus making the bat books sell quicker for those of us with tight collecting budgets.
  20. My latest book to add to the Neal Adam craze lately. Batman 200 CGC 9.6 Off white to White pages
