  1. The just released the cover for The Scorched and I'll definitely be picking that up. Gunslinger is a cool character, but I still like Medieval the best.
  2. Yes, Mainly first appearances. I was just curious on the most popular characters in the Spawn universe. Who is the protagonist in The Scorched?
  3. Great, thanks. I think the latest I read was issue #313 or something, and there was a guy who picked up the sword and he was transformed. I'm guessing that's the new version? Anyway, what are some good keys to pick up? I have #1, #9, #119, and just picked up #297 (Cameo Ninja Spawn).
  4. So like a few others, I just got back into collecting/reading Spawn since the early 90's. I've always loved the art, but the writing was always 'meh'. What peaked my interest was Gunslinger Spawn, and I've always like Medieval Spawn. I think I read somewhere that they were going to be a team or something (Chain Gang)? I haven't read any of the recent issues to really know. I like the idea of multiple versions of Spawn, each with their own story and character arc. But my knowledge is very, very basic at the moment and I only know of Spawn (Al), Gunslinger Spawn, and Medieval Spawn (is this the original version who was introduced in #9? I thought he died). How many other versions are there?
  5. Anyone have anything in the old Value tier? I looked at the last few pages and didn't see any updates. I have books in there SFG on 5/18/21 (non-FT) and was wondering if anyone had books in that tier around that date?
  6. I love threads like this. Each page gets progressively better as the Big Boys start dropping bombs. Us peasants just watch from the hills. (Everyone's collection is great...thanks for sharing)
  7. Odd...I sent in a submission in March, it was listed as "Received" on 4/6/21. Ok, that's to be expected. It's still in "Received" status. I sent another submission a few weeks later, mid-April, and it not only shows up today under "Submission Status" but it went right into "Scheduled for Grading" status, even though it even says it was received on 5/18/21.
  8. Thanks. So if I submit, do I submit it like a raw book or for a Reholder?
  9. Kind of off topic, but if you send your PGX/CBCS to CGC for reholder, you don't need to crack them, correct? CGC will crack and reholder with the same PGX/CBCS grade? Or do you submit them for regrade still in the PGX/CBCS slab?
  10. I just bought a low grade Avengers #4 this week myself. Personally, I think #4 is a bit undervalued. A lot of us Cap fans won't ever have the opportunity to own his FA, so IMO, A#4 is the second best option.
  11. So I sent some books in January...first time doing so in a few years. I noticed that they won't release the grades until the book ships. When did they start doing this? (Sorry if this question has been asked 1000 times already). Can I call them to get the grades? The wait from Verified > Graded was long enough but now I'm hearing that Graded > Shipped can be an even longer wait. Ugh.
  12. Lot's of good ones...hard to choose. I'll go off course a bit from the "cape" route and say the scene in 300 where the camera is focused on Leonidas as he cuts down Xerxes horde. A couple of shield bashes, then he throws his spear, and then he goes to work with his sword. Epic.
  13. I received a SupaBoy (portable SNES player) for my birthday a few weeks ago. So far, so good. I really love it. Trying to hunt down some of my favorite SNES games has been fun. In July, Hyperkin is coming out with the RetroN 5. It plays SNES, NES, Genesis, Gameboy, and Famicon games. It even has a HDMI port. I will be buying one of those for sure!
  14. My girlfriend bought me a SupaBoy for my birthday. It's basically a handheld SNES (you can find them on Amazon). You can even hook it up to your TV and use regular SNES controllers with it. Now the hunt is on to find me some SNES games. I bought Street Fighter 2 last night and it works like a charm.
  15. I thought the exact same thing! It was a quick shot (pun intended) of her, but I was sure it was her...until my gf reminded me that Morgan told the story of how he killed her after the incident with his son.
  16. I agree. I loved this episode. The dynamic between Rick, Carl and Michonne really worked for me. My only complaint is the kid who plays as Carl. Man, that kid cannot act.
  17. Harder, actually. I think the few games to rate higher in plat difficulty are Ninja Gaiden 2 and WipeOut HD. A good place to go for trophies (if you're into getting them) is: ps3trophies.org. They have great trophy guides and "roadmaps" on how to obtain them the quickest.
  18. I consider myself a pretty avid gamer, and I try to get the platinum trophy for every game I enjoy. And I never played a game that really game me fits on getting the plat until I played Vanquish. FUN game and I loved it....but I'll be damned if getting the plat on that game was impossible. It was pretty easy until you got to the challenges. It was the last wave in the last challenge (Challenge 6 I think it was) that was just beyond my gaming abilities. After about 2 weeks I just quit trying. And yes, I'm not really a Metal Gear fan, but the new one looks pretty awesome. Especially since Platinum Games is putting it out, you just know it's going to be good. If I wasn't addicted to Borderlands 2 I'd check it out.
  19. I've almost got Dead Space Platinum. I plan on getting Dead Space 2 & 3 soon. Is Bayonetta for PS3 any good? The gameplay in Bayonetta is really good (not as good as God of War, IMO). The story, though, is kinda.....out there. It was enjoyable. I got the Platinum trophy for it. Also I would recommend Vanquish (made by the same people who made Bayonetta- Platinum Games). It's a short, but very fun game.
  20. Late to the game, but I picked up Borderlands 2 last week. Wow. What a fun game. I'm going to have to go back and play the first one after I finish this one!
  21. I don't read the comics, but I have friends that do. And they were hyping up the Governor as this horrible, ruthless villain. Honestly, he's nothing of the sort. Evil? Sure, I guess. But I think that is mostly due to his comic book reputation. Do I HATE this character (like I thought I would)? No, I don't. He's the bad guy because the show tells me he is. That's why I thought it was important that he rape Maggie OR maim (cut off) Glenn's hand. He has to do something for me to HATE him....despise him. I want to cheer when/if he finally dies. At this point, I'll just shrug and be like "Oh, another villain dies. Next." There is still time to do this I guess (especially if he kills Daryl) but I'm losing hope. Michonne is sorta in the same boat. I thought she was this total bad ? Yeah, she's good with the sword, but personally I don't really care for her character. She is too stand off-ish just for the sake of being stand off-ish. Granted she is growing on me, but it's at a snails pace. If she is like this in the comic books, then I wouldn't have liked her there either.
  22. Yeah this was an ok episode. Let's see what next week brings. I don't read the comics, but I've heard enough about them (I have friends that read them) to know that the Governor was a pretty scary dude in the comics. On the TV show? Different story. I mean, yeah he's the "bad guy" but is he really that "bad"? Sure he has a collection of heads he keeps, and he is a shady guy....but I don't FEAR him, like the governor in the comics (so I've heard). This guy just doesn't seem that evil. I was hoping that he would have done SOMETHING this epidsode to make us, as the audience, really fear him. I thought the scene with Maggie should have gone "all the way" so to speak. He needs to do something that makes me hate him, and want to see him burn for all that he has done. But nope. Lost opportunity. I'll continue to watch and know he's the bad guy simply by his comic book reputation alone. This TV Governor is weak subsitute.
  23. Best episode yet of Walking Dead, IMO. I didn't see any of it coming, and it was SHOCKING. Wow.
  24. Thanks for putting together that list, dscott. It looks very nice. Good work (thumbs u
