  1. Oh man, I forgot I even had this!! I found it between some pages of an old Comics Price Guide I had in a box in our closet. It's taken from the 1st issue (I think) of Death's Head, but I never had that comic so I must have seen it in a magazine somewhere in 1991. I worked with pen and ink a lot back then, something I strayed away from. It actually makes me want to try that medium again. Hope you like it
  2. Have you reported it to the police, Mike? Nope. i think it would be a wise move to do so I agree, good sir. If for nothing else the results could lead to a far better discussion than the one this has become. I know next to nothing about this Harold character, but I imagine a visit from the law would leave him crying with a big wet stain forming in his pantaloons.
  3. I almost did just that, but thought twice about it... a hundred times
  4. Why is there an assumed correlation between spending a few bucks, or the extent to which someone participates in the hobby, and sanity? I could pay $500 and submit 100 books a year to CGC; how exactly does that ensure that I won't act like a d-bag to other people in this community?
  5. The following opinion is intended with ALL DUE RESPECT. I'd be willing to pay around $20 per year, but not much more than that. I'm not too sure about excluding folks that do not submit to CGC, though. Access to these boards can be the deciding factor for some that aren't sure they want their pride and joys slabbed. Some people might be quite unhappy to pay hundreds of $$$ to join a forum only to pay perhaps hundreds of $$$ more to get their books slabbed, and then have to wait perhaps months for their books to even be viewed. I, myself, understand that CGC is behind, and I understand the convention season is the main reason why, which is why I'm being [wryly] patient even though I'll unlikely attend any conventions anytime soon. But there would undoubtedly be some impatient people that would not tolerate waiting 3 months after paying for a 40 day turnaround [even with the disclaimer] because of conventions. These people may be even more offended that they would have to pay yet even more money in order receive quicker service, just to learn even that is not a guarentee of a timely turnaround [from what I've read from some members]. This may discourage them from using CGC's services again, which would certainly be within their right. Then they would be ticked off at the fact that they have paid hundreds of $$$ for a membership to a message board they will never use again. I hope this post was relavent in some way.
  6. Post pics. I won't be going
  7. Personally I think we have an actor/comedian here. Never saw a tear and never saw her eyes redden. but funny as hell. If it's legit... to her. or to any guy that dates her
  8. Agreed. And he's probably laughing his @$$ off reading this
  9. Why does this not sound like such a bad thing to me?? maybe you are into that sort of thing I guess a "7 gates of hell" sort of guy might think so and if you got that without a google you are a badddddd baddddd boy I was thinking of something else, but not involving you of course Because I'm a good, good boy. And now... back to the thread.
  10. Why does this not sound like such a bad thing to me??
  11. We should organize a mass forum meeting with him. I fully intend to introduce myself if we were to meet. Almost worth the price of a plane ticket
  12. That's very nice of you Mikey I've tried using the "search" function on Harold, but never really found relavant results. I probably didn't do it right.
  13. Well, whoever he was, he's banned now. :applause: This is SUPPOSED to be a fun hobby! Sheesh
  14. A quote like that obviously comes from someone who would have to study to be stupid. Chances are "einstein" would have the gun pointed backwards and blow his own head off... Sometimes. However, it is very, very easy to spoof IPs, use anonymizers and otherwise fool/thwart IP trackers. If someone wants to get past the system, it's very easy to do. If they'd just put this kind of effort into getting a life worth a *spoon*, the world would be juuuuust a little better
  15. +1 Temper your expectations. Just got off the phone with them. They are still 3 weeks behind... (thumbs u I know . I'm just making light of my books being three six weeks behind Seriously, just kidding
  16. Now that the SDCC is behind us, I'm excited that the fine CGC graders:foryou: will now have time to look at my Marvel SA and BA keys they've had since May 15th. CGC inspectors rule
  17. I bought 10 books from Chuck and I'm very happy with each one of them. Accurate grade, great price, fast shipment and ultra secure packing!! I highly recommend buying from the board member as I will in the future
  18. "Good things come to those who wait". That old cliche' was sure true for me
  19. Just got it today Is there anything better than a Marvel Key in your hands?? Well, maybe a few things, but that's another message board Many thanks to The Resurrection for his patience and for selling me this slab. I LOVE IT!!
