  1. Note B v S sixth highest grossing worldwide comic book movie at 827 plus, 15.1 overseas box office gross week 3
  2. BATMAN V SUPERMAN DOG DROPS RECORD 61.4% 3d week and drops to 4th and the WB estimate is always high to only 9 million. Folks it is gonna be under 9 Mil WW total is 827 Million estimate and is heading always perfectly to my predicted box office..one note if they release the R rated version look for a 25 Million bump of my prediction.
  3. The man that sold planet earth...any interior shots...never saw that issue before..super
  4. You've seen it already? But seriously, I wouldn't expect a radical departure in this instalment. Marvel previewed the film very early and allowed reviewers to release them well ahead of the film release....a superhero v superhero movie CAN BE DONE RIGHT..I read one review which said, after seeing cap people are gonna forget bat v super, I think it was the hollywoodreporter..
  5. Variety .com has cap civil war movie review Up .. It is a must read... This is how you do a superhero battle movie... This is what I am talking about.
  6. The Dentist Dave A has a high grade copy we talked on the phone around 1982-1985 and he had just got the book when i got mine. I have not been in contact with since the 80s when i was selling on the CBG but i (think) he has a copy that would grade 9.2 but thats just hear say . I have heard there was a 9.2 or better out there and that book would break it all. I believe Dave has the Allentown tec 27 Isn't there a recent 9.2 added to the census? I didn't think that was the Allentown copy? Wow two 8.0 s and one 9.2 Action 1 is done. If they never hit the market we will never know, but Action 1 the guy that owns the 2 9.0's might come back on, at least one copy..and break the bank next time.
  7. SUPER...THIS TIME I WILL PAY....but let me CLEAR..IT HAD BETTER BE BETTER.
  8. Action 1 is 2nd to Tec 27 the guide just dont want to change it but the people have spoke!!!!!!!!!!!!. Look a new solo Batman movie whats that 10 now ? Sup got NOTHING. Action 7 is 1938 But All Star 8 1942 and shes king so date dont have s to do with it. Mitch dump any copy of Action 1 fast its now Related to Zack. Tec 27 is king. Batman 1 1st joker s Action 1 maybe 3rd real soon. . Show me the money....the top 4 prices ever paid is for action 1... Talk or speculation is just that... Bat v sup sure did not help the value of any comic.., however if ben's bat movie rocks look for a positive price bump I will agree with that in terms of value of batman. I have been a tireless fan of cap one on these boards for a number of years .. I still think there is a lot of play left in the book.. A great cap movie cannot help also and it appears from the early reviews the movie rocks as well I just saw the first trailer on dr strange... It was totally kick-assss marvel is on a roll... Zack is getting left behind in the dust.
  9. Bat v Superman tanked on monday box-office down 77.8%.....Action 1 is and will still be the king..reason 1938 book, tec is 1939...like the son of action 1. The premier of CaP civil war took place tonight and the early reviews were stellar..prediction cap civil war will DOUBLE the gross of Bat vs Sup
  10. BREAKING NEWS; BEN WILL DIRECT OWN BATFLICK which he wrote the -script ...the news at las vegas by WB chairman. Zack the Hack will not direct.....or touch the standalone batflick. See Hollywoodreporter.com
  11. Not even close. The Road Warrior by a country mile Both are great.. Both classic and should not be mentioned in the same breath with bat v super Road Warrior was a decent film but it was still a pulpy genre piece. Claiming that it was a vastly better film than BVS is ludicrous. I tell what is lucdicrous... Bat v super winning 4 or 5 academy awards like fury road
  12. Not even close. The Road Warrior by a country mile Both are great.. Both classic and should not be mentioned in the same breath with bat v super
  13. I see the support for zack the hack to spend another 250 million dollars plus overwhelming... See my point... Nobody on the boards wants this guy to be in charge of the dc universe and spend 275 million on jla.... They should stick to the original choice of George Miller who just did mad max fury road... Now that. Is what I am talking about...according to box office mojo man of steel cost 225 mil and bat v super 250 mil that is 475 million dollars for what?
  14. For the record, the budget on Deadpool was $58 Million according to Boxofficemjo.com, the admitted budget to B v S was $250 million....with the rumor that it was closer to $275 million. We understand the point in respects to profit margin. But that doesn't change the fact that more people wanted to see Dawn of Justice, in spite of all the bad word of mouth. agreed that in the end more people will end up seeing BVS, my question to you is do you support Zack and another 250 MIllion for JLA or a change...
  15. For the record, the budget on Deadpool was $58 Million according to Boxofficemjo.com, the admitted budget to B v S was $250 million....with the rumor that it was closer to $275 million.
  16. . First I commend you for paying and seeing this movie twice... You are a far better man than I for doing it. I had my ticket bought for me so I saw it for free and still ripped off for this waste of time. It seems that every critic agrees with me and my accessment .you hoping that we can all get along and not call a turd a turd so more movies can be made does not fly. You can see this movie 50 times and it's gonna be the same result.. 250 million dollars for what.. This was the largest comic book movie budget ever . Numbers have to be talked about when this type of effort falls flat... The blame should not be to one person. But a bunch of them. Yes we all can get along but we see a joke actor play LL...miscast or not... Somebody had to make the call and get approval.... As far as my comments on the board , I try to call it as I see it after collecting for over 50. Years. My heart remains strong as a comic book collector. This film was an insult trying to please too many people and it ended up not pleasing 90% of the suckers who saw and paid for it. Live and learn but let's hope damage control is effectual and the dc universe can begin to compete with marvel. I'll send you back your $20, for popcorn, or candy or whatever you needed to watch the film. It doesn't need your money. You post the same nonsense, not a single unique, or original thought in the blurb. And most of what you say is factually false - I'm not one to stoop, but you've been posting this for pages and pages. For the record. - the movie's budget @ $250M was a lot more than Deadpool, but Comparable to Avengers - the massive dip in box office take (while who really cares, frankly) is due to the genre of movie and the big Thursday original weekend showing. It front loaded the sales. Even if the critics loved the movie, it's drop would have been significant (yes, the critics have an impact....just not 30% or 50% or something massive on the gross). So the claim that the movie does $1.5 or $2.0B if it was great, is fundamentally false - the run up of revenue comes some from build up of the fans and broader storyline. Marvel has matured this concept (well) with iron man 1/2, Thor 1, and cap 1 before avengers...and then the continuation from there. DC is just getting started, and with a lot of time between MOS and BvS it will take time to ramp up. - rotten tomatoes measurement structure has some limitations, that have been well published, and as Wayne-Tec notes, the scores from movie goers were much better (granted they weren't excellent either) Now - I can understand and respect some didn't like the movie, that's fine. But reading your nonsense, Mitch..... Let me set for the record one thing..I wanted this movie to be great..I wanted it to break avengers 1.5 bil mark,..I was looking forward to many more DC movies and hoped if there was competition it would make BOTH marvel and DC better....Yes my expectations were high...$250 million dollars high...I can honestly say this was the biggest letdown I have ever felt after walking out of the theater....OK maybe I thought the bigger the budget the better the movie, maybe my expectations were impossible to reach....when I read the reviews I knew I was not alone....and in fact I was not crazy. You can attack me all you want, it is not gonna make this film any better, it dropped 54.5% this last weekend and got beat by a movie that had bad reviews also. It is not gonna hit 900 million in your or my lifetime. Let be clear about one thing...the movie is not a total waste....its about 3.4 at best, can it be better yes, I hope so....30 mins added time and less censorship on the R rating should help....its not gonna make it to a 9 or 10...but I am hopeful it will turn out better So I ask you one question: do you really want to see Zack the Hack spend another $250 million dollars on the upcoming JLA movie....your honest answer here...or should DC mannup and reboot and go with a different director/producer...

  18. changed my post and added some info bat v sup is NOT gonna make a profit.. Guardians did . That is 27 mil for two years on 700 plus million ... A reasonable assumption but not using that , the profit ratio is much higher on gutdians
  19. Guardians worldwide Boxoffice 773,313.00 with a production budget of 170,000.00 however of you favor in the two years of box office inflation in terms of the two year gap 800 Mill would be reasonable. Bat v superman is a projected 783 and might adjust down a mil or too on Monday when final figures are released. The admitted budget is 250 million according to mojo but I suspect a tad higher at 275..I used boxofficemojo .com which I believe is owned by Amazon and is an excellent site... Anybody check out the hollywoodreporter.com article on the making of the original superman movie 'super' article guardians grossed 4.55 times production budget not counting inflation while bat with say a 825 projected final gross would be 3 times production budget. The old general rule to break even was x3 gross when DVDs were ruling the market. WB is going to break even at best.
  20. A pretty fair review! I noticed you had no problems with Batman and Wonder Woman as well. So it does look like the Superman part of this movie was the part most critics were confused and didn`t like much. So the Superman mythos is causing this ruckus. If they did a solo Batman Ben Affleck movie next time it will beat Batman v. Superman box office by a mile! If I am DC I might just concentrate on Batman movies if these other DC superhero movie under-perform at the box office. Plus I doubt Superman will be getting a solo movie anytime soon now. Thoughts? . Thanks WB for destroying the greatest character you ever created by boxing him in a zack the hack Snyder dc universal world...
  21. Breaking news batman v superman beaten at box office by Melissa 's the boss.. Boxioffice down drastically by 54%. According to the lying Warner bros... Prediction it's low... 57% sounds more like it. Is only 23 million... Next week it's 7....if they are lucky... Word of. Mouth has given this turkey what it deserves... Not a penny from another sucker....Boxioffice poison . I should be right on the money on my final Boxoffice prediction.
  22. Time for dc to get a fresh vision ..a new opinion.. We do have to remember it was the 1978 original superman movie that elevated comic book material to mega movie status thanks to Marlin Brando and gene Hackman being cast... The two biggest names in movies at the time and a director who fought tooth and nail with the producers to make a non camp version of superman Richard donner.. If you want to know what Richard went thru go to hollywoodreporter.com and check out article on the making of the original superman which was posted a few days ago...one of the best movie making articles I have ever read... That is guts.. Getting a phone call offering you one million dollars back when it ment something and being over budget and never knowing the budget as well as casting a unknown for the part.. That movie especially the first half shown what a filmmaker can do when he loves and respects the material ... Great read
  23. Profit or no profit they did not get avengers money.. Or profit...I really do not believe anybody on these boards would say the movie they saw on the screen the dumbed down version is worth 250 million dollars . It simply is not... Zack the hack fell short and has put a roadblock for dc to challenge marvel which they seem to do better on the small screen with excellent shows. You could take the cost of the entire seasons of arrow, flash , Gotham etc and not come close to 250mil....no I am Not a naysayer... I say we get short changed on the 250 million negative cost by a studio will no balls and a hack director who sold out his real version to studio pressure to get the kids to buy more candy bars at the theater.
  24. I have seen director's cuts that make a movie better, but I have never seen a director's cut that redeems a film in the eyes of the general public. Only the hardcore fans are going to buy and watch the R version. That Rotten Tomatoes 29% will never go away. Financially, the new cut will be a minuscule fraction of the revenue for BvS. At least it has a chance of making it better than my 34 out of 100 rating and I am being very generous with that number. If it bring it up..say 10 points its still a Dog, but a lot less of one. Just read some of the comments on rotten tomatoes ..my comments are restrained here on the boards.....I am gonna take a big chance and do a blind buy on the directors cut...but the future for the DC universe is simple..no more ZacK the Hack...and scripts...well we can already predict the JSA -script.....and where this is all going..yawn
  25. The marketing would not have mattered if this was a great movie... When the hits the fan ... It's a blame game....bad marketing..phoney cgi...bad -script... Bad timing ...critics are crazy ... Look ... This is the biggest 250 mil flop ever made for that amount of movie ...which has 2 versions .... The lame one we already know about.. The real r rated version the jury is still out... Which WB chickened out to release to sell more popcorn to kiddies.
