  1. I like FF1, AF 15, FF5, FF ANN#1 high grade and ASM1...for SA in that order, GA would be as affordable ...ALL Star #3 mid grade,Superman #2 mid-grade, Action 11-21 mid grade, Detective 30-40, and Cap 2-13
  2. hope she makes it, meet here at autograph show in hollywood years ago...class act all the way
  3. Not now, but in the future it might be, especially ultra low grade copies
  4. From a $ standpoint it is going to be interesting to see the 8.5 At Ha and 8.0 at CL what they fetch....as time goes on Cap #1 will clearly surpass M 1
  5. It appears multiple bidders over $1 million..could be some new whales in the collectors pond....
  6. They were always great books to me too....I think very under appreciated.
  7. All Winners #1 is a great choice as in the early days it was a very valuable book, it seems to have been lost over the years and with the SK Captain America, along with #2 I think those books have very bright future ahead given the record prices we will be seeing for Cap #1 in 2020...keep an eye for #2 also
  8. I agree Panic is underrated ...cover to #2 is amazing
  9. hang in there, 2021 a lot of good material will hit the market....complete set is awesome
  10. I am glad to know you are still in the "game"..2021 could unleash some major auctions and material and I hopping a return to SDCC...I do not think Wonder Con in April is gonna be held again...two years in a row
  11. 2021, I hope to read a great comic history book like the history of EC comics which I did this year, it looks promising with a announcement of a great new marvel omnibus entitled "August 1961" containing every comic book published by marvel that month including teen romance, western and the new cover looks amazing and of course will be released on the 60th anniversary of their release in August 2021. It looks amazing - On GA/SA comic book front TOT#1 is on my list, unrestored of course,as well a couple of pre 1938 GA books which will remain unamed On the original art area one pinup piece and possible one pulp piece. Cat congrad on the MM46 CLASSIC...
  12. If it can be done...where do you draw the line to show consistent grading ...what is a little, what is a lot...I do not think you can set a practical standard in which too many people will disagree, better any..than inconsistent ..we have enough of that going around here anyway..
  13. It is the intent of the person, putting one name on a book is not meant to restore or increase or change the condition or hide a flaw of a previous condition. But color touch is Made with the intent of changing the condition of the book, sometimes hiding the real or true condition of the GA/SA boo. Apple v Orange here
  14. The book itself presents better with the color touch...but in terms of collectability and a premium on the price of the book, that is where I take issue
  15. I tend to disagree with water cleaning and press, and tiny amount of color touch...its the idea....and I know I am old school, that comic book is what is, when you get it off the newsstand for from a collector who has purchased the book in original condition. Unrestored should be just that..ORIGINAL condition...that was the "old" term for unrestored before the professional restoring came in or just the first few years or so. it is a real shame, that something cannot be called for what it really is or appreciated for what it really is..it degrades the impossible copy kept in a wooden chest untouched and really defines rareness rather than manufactured and getting away with some restoring or upgrading which is not called that. Today...I do not even know if any book could be original other than Mile High copies. It just takes something away for comic book itself being special....and I think and every GA collector when he holds a book in his hands thinks back to the time it was on the newsstand ...that how it used to be in the "good" old days. Today, its can I pancake it up the grade ladder and pretend it was like this all along. Good, Bad, or Indifferent things change over time...I accept it, but I don't have like it.
  16. never seen that on that issue in last 50 plus years...a true rarity
