  1. David purchased a silver age slab from me and everything went smoothly. Great individual to deal with.
  2. All the posters at the beginning of this thread have custom titles, did they all have custom titles when they initially posted in this thread or did posting in this thread help them be granted one Thought provoking questions...
  3. Chad purchased a large grouping of books from me. He paid quickly and was easy to deal with. I welcome any future deals with him. Cheers Jason
  4. That's my old copy as well! Has anyone around her got a #14 I've not previously owned? ? best copy I have ever seen. I missed out on a high grade copy (through a contact). I did not pull the trigger fast enough. By the time I circled back around, it was already gone What grade do you think it was? Is nice to know there are copies out there better than a 2.0 From my contact, it sounded like at least a 7.0/7.5, maybe a bit higher. Very old school seller though, no website, no email, only does shows primarily from my understanding.

  6. I though the #9 went pretty high as well. I had made up my mind not to bid a few weeks ago. Did you win it Jason? I have a few Planets I want to upgrade, but I also made up my mind to not pursue any at this auction ( although the number 5 is tempting...) I got the Planet #9, #22 and #45 at HA's most recent auction. Took a run at the #5, was the last underbidder, but the price just seemed to high to keep going.
  7. Yes, I am curious also who won it. We might never know as there are many collectors out there that don't belong to or frequent these boards. I still have my eyes on a couple of Planets for Saturdays session. Good luck to all.
  8. Joe purchased a high grade pre code horror book from me and paid quickly and was easy to deal with. Welcome another deal with him anytime. Jason
  9. That is a beautiful book!!! That's a reprint. It's far too pretty to be real. Even so, it is probably my favorite Planet cover. Thanks for the kind words to all. I agree, this is probably my favorite in the whole run, with #5 being 1b. The color scheme on #2 puts it over the top. That is one sweet book!
  10. Plenty of nice FH books coming up to auction over the next few weeks. Myself along with I am sure a few folks here will likely be taking a run at that Planet #15. If another boardie wins the #15 and you have an undercopy to sell, please keep me in mind please. Happy collecting folks. Jason
  11. Dave picked up a DC Key from me. Was easy to deal with and paid quickly. Thanks and enjoy the Showcase #22. Jason
  12. Jeremy sold me a grouping of nice Amazing Spider-Man issues. Well packaged and arrived quickly. Thanks for a smooth transaction. Jason
  13. Jeremy purchased a golden age book from me. The transaction went smoothly on all fronts. Welcome back anytime. Jason
  14. The Vancouver Aquarium has a preserved specimen of this species of fish. I remember my Dad taking me there when I was 4 or 5 and telling me about the fish and looking at the display. I did not take this pic, but found in by doing a search on google images. The discussion on this thread made me remember the fishing and seeing it when I was a child. I thought the group might enjoy seeing the link. Cheers Jason http://www.flickriver.com/photos/baggis/2394754102/
  15. I very much like that last painting. Merry Christmas my friend! May your 2016 be filled with beautiful moments, love and compassion. Warmest Regards, Jason
  16. ST #110 for me is one of the unremarkable covers for a key issue. There are others, but this one gets under my skin for some reason, always has.
  17. Mike purchased a number of ASM books from me. He paid quickly and was a pleasure to deal with. Welcome back anytime.
  18. Cant wait. Any predictions? pain. +1,000 this
  19. Haha, I love the lot description on the Planet #15 "Planet collectors get dead serious when such lots come up, and we expect quite a bidding war over this one."
  20. Glad to hear of the progress! Your thread was one of the first I read on the forums when I first came here, such a wonderful collection. All the best over the Christmas season to you and your family! Jason
  21. I would have purchased a bunch of books at those prices. Must not have been that many bidders. Too bad. All the books were from the same owner too (new pedigree?) Many of the books had her name written in pencil on the front cover, including some of the planets.
  22. I bet that was it. A killer deal and will fetch some big dollars if the seller puts it to auction.
