  1. Spoilers!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!!!!!! (sorry I'm new and don't know how to do the spoiler tag)d Ok, so here is my response to the latest episode of TWD, "Secrets" Teach carl the gun , I learned to shoot a .22 with almost no supervision at his age. The unborn baby can know joy, if only in the midst of things. There are many ways of sheltering. I dont blame Glenn in any way for sharing facts of survival. Kinda surprised at Hershel talking of moving on, and it being a surprise, but I guess Rick never let on.... I think he should have. As far as the pistol training goes with Andrea and Shane, I think Shane was right on with how he was training. I can see how maybe he could have crossed the line mentioning Amy, but to be honest I probably would have said the same thing. In a heated moment. Things come out, and I think anyone can bring up hard memories in a heated situation. As far as them boinking in the truck... I have to say damn straight. I can't see any man turning that down... and I think it leans towards the whole bad boy mentality.... Hes a , protects her like a man and then she gets & wants.....the......it (oops.) I think Dale is very strong for going forward to Hershel about the Walkers. I know Hershel doesn't carry a gun, but I still think it is a bold move to try and understand/solve things. Dale himself was in a hard spot and could've been in danger. He really pulled through as a man with very honest convictions. At the end of the episode, he still hasn't spilled the beans. Thats conviction, and at this point in the series, him and darryl are the only ones who have shown such dedication, as far as I'm concerned. I think Dale is a great guy fior breaking the ice on the pregnancy, and I applaud him for doing everything right to keep the group honest. ( and i love the fact he used the word guile ) I actually was surprise that Rick knew about Shane and Lori... I really did not see that coming (haven't read the comics, don't know if that happened or not) but I do agree with all his anger and feel that Lori has nothing to person_without_enough_empathy about... Glenn saving the girl at the store is like... eternal tail... im sorry... Go glenn! I also agree with what she said, that he is a leader not walker bait. But she shouldnt have freaked out.. Thats BS. Andrea getting Uber aim is just a given... get good or die.. thats all there is to it. I would do it or run my of in failure myself.. Finally.. I can see myself acting the same way Shane did when confronted by Dale... Right? possibly... sometimes I think people don't get confrontation... so sue me. Comments welcome
  2. Yea i suppose it does. They could also work their way off from the zombies incessant clawing and grabbing of live humans
  3. I assume they'll fall off as the zombies dry up...And i'll be the with my metal detector to find them. I can't wait for the zombie apocalypse to happen Beep....Beeeep....... Bit.
  4. just watching the last few episodes again on demand, and two thoughts come to mind. 1. Doesn't Dr Herschel look like he could be the father of some comedic actor? I can't think of his name right now, or anything hes been in (dangit) If anyone can pinpoint the resemblance I'd be grateful, because its eating my brain 2. I noticed the wedding ring on Dales hand, and it got me thinking.... do any of the zombies have wedding bands on (trivial I know) but you would think at least 1/3 of the adults would be married?
  5. Dont know much about Dave Stevens, but I saw this and thought I'd share so you guys could get a crack at it. It appears to be an autographed Rocketeer book, going for 5.00 right now. I dont know if its legit or not, you guys be the judge http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/The-Rocketeer-Autographed-Comic-Book-8845973.html gluck
  6. I just watched upsisode 2 and 3 on DVR, an I am happy with both. I wasn't sure how good it was going to be after ep1 but right now, its hitting the mark. I have read the first few issues (6) of Walking Dead, so I'm out of the loop after Season 1, so its all a surprise to me Can't wait for episode 4
  7. came to 40 cents, in a cheap lot off a local auction (waves are in poly bag) also got a Chip n' Dale #69 ~7.5-8.0 for the same price after all comics considered
  8. saw these pics of zombie makeup posted on a website. not sure where they came from or if everyone here has seen them. http://acidcow.com/pics/25414-zombie-7-pics.html
  9. I'm just hoping they can keep the momentum going. S1 was got me hyped, and the first episode of s2 is good, but it seems like it could go either way from here.
  10. This is where people drop the ball...they don't ask ! Yep thats the key. Alot of times people may not have the comics out. I was at a thrftsale a few weeks ago, and asked. They didn't have any, but a few other t-salers overheard me and told me they saw some at yet another sale. I went there and got these for pretty cheap 4$ 3$ and 50 cents
  11. in the address bar at the top of your screen, once you are on a page (say page 2) replace the 2 with page 455 or whatever one you want to go to, hit enter
  12. and thank you for all the great stuff you've posted. this thread has single-handedly blown my mind and given me an appreciation for stuff I never would be able to see in real life. (Not to mention to keep my eye out for) Its been a great ride so far, and eventually ill be up to this page in the thread, !
  13. Hi everyone! Iv'e been hurrying to catch up on this thread since I found it. In the last 2 weeks I've read about 550 pages of it, hoping to get up to date. I am not a golden age collector yet. I've stated collecting again earlier this year after a ~12 year hiatus. For some reason comics are really interesting to me now even after all this time away. I love the art, the expression, just generally how great the visual appeal is in all ways. This thread has shown me some really great stuff to keep an eye out for! Anyhow, I've been hitting up the local auction sites, thrift sales, craigslist, etc.... Looking for cool stuff. I went down to a local flea market and found this book, I recognized some of the stuff from the earlier days of this thread, so I snagged it up for $2.50. So heres my meager offering, published in 1975 By Ballantine/Random House, about 12x10, with a bunch of old scifi pulp cover prints: I want to say thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread, it has been a wonderful read thus far, and I hope the next 900 pages are just as great!
  14. Nice man! I wish I still had that kind of luck, I remember when I was like 12 I looked in a dumpster and found a longbox of 80's stuff. Don't really remember too much about it , but I know secret wars 8 was in it. again, nice find!
  15. Read through this thread and really enjoyed it. Thanks to all who posted
