Yes I possibly misread your intentions. I guess when you said that I fall into category 1, I thought that was slightly judgmental, but I get the point you’re trying to make.

This is such a list of nonsense. I don’t fall into a category. I liked the movie and I have actually seen it. Have you?

Exactly. It’s not bigger, smaller, worse or better. It is what it is. I think it was great and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next with the characters. Not every movie has to please every single Marvel fan.

Eternals - 1976 series (Marvel Bronze Age) CLUB
Underground44 replied to ___'s topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
My personal opinion is that the movie has been unnecessarily panned by critics who are paid to review things but really don’t get what the general public are looking for. I think that the books will gradually increase in value and I’ll definitely be holding mine (btw I only have CGC 9.2’s of #1 and #2 so I’m not heavily invested) because the Eternals aren’t going away. I had low expectations and nearly didn’t go and see it but I LOVED it. ‘Ordinary’ people who like to be entertained and like Marvel films will love it I think.- 192 replies

Eternals - 1976 series (Marvel Bronze Age) CLUB
Underground44 replied to ___'s topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Saw the movie today. I’m scratching my head about the negative reviews and my tip is that the general public won’t care less about rotten tomato reviews. I’d put this in my top 5 of MCU movies and I recommend going to see it.- 192 replies

So I saw The Eternals today and I have to say I have no idea why there is so much negativity around this film. I loved every minute of it. They did a fantastic job in introducing 10 new characters to the MCU and made me like them. I was a bit hesitant to go and see it but I’m glad I did. Definitely in my top 5 Marvel films. All I can say is this…..Go and see it for yourself and make up your own mind. I suspect this movie will do well despite the negative critics reviews because once regular movie goers start to see it, the word will get around that it’s actually a great movie. Marvel are heading in a slightly different direction and I applaud them for doing so.

You’re entitled to your opinion and here’s mine. The Dark Knight is by far the best Batman movies, my favourite movie of all time and one best films ever made.

Also the Eternals will be an integral part of the MCU so anyone who is invested in any of the intertwined characters will have a stake in this so they will definitely go and see it regardless.

Underground44 replied to ___'s topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I think that now that The Eternals are such an integral part of the MCU, they will only go up for a while yet so I will wait and see. I think they are massively undervalued.- 192 replies

Underground44 replied to ___'s topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
There have definitely been lots more sales after the premiere. I snapped up a 9.2 #1 and #2 and a #3 and #13 raw before the crazy prices set in which they inevitably will I think.- 192 replies

Definitely. Considering the fact that lots of people wanted to hate this film it’s very encouraging. I can’t wait to see it now.

I’ve got 10 9.8’s so obviously I think this was the best trailer I have ever seen. Anyone looking for a 9.8? 😂

I bought a Star Wars #1 from Greg. He shipped it to Australia in bullet proof packaging and it arrived on my doorstep in perfect condition. It was a great deal and I would recommend buying books from Greg.

Adrian is a gentleman and packed my slab in bullet proof packaging that arrived all the way to Australia in perfect condition. I would highly recommended dealing with Adrian 👍

Keith was fantastic to deal with throughout the whole buying process. A great communicator and he gave me a great deal! Thank you!

I think the modern flippers are over inflating the prices amongst themselves and the non-comic collectors have no choice but to pay the over inflated prices. I’m a Star Wars fan so I get it, but I’ve seen books rise by 1k overnight and I’m skeptical about how that happens

So I who’ve been away from collecting for a few years and I have noticed that the speculation/flipping of moderns has become crazy. Why does ANYTHING with Star Wars on it go for ridiculous prices now? Even the Dark Horse books that weren’t even that great are selling for hundreds of dollars because some obscure character may/will be appearing in a tv series/movie? Am I the only one that sees this as insane? Surely it’s just speculators selling to other speculators in a huge circle jerk.... ars

Is this a joke? How many actual covers were there? It will just render the book worthless in time.

KEY SA inc. ASM 129 7.5 & more..CLOSED
Underground44 replied to storypapers's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
No one ever says “I must have caught CGC on a great day because this 8.0 should really be a 7.5!”.... -
Hi all Technically I’m not new to the forum but I feel like a newbie as I haven’t been here for over 3 years! I used to collect Simpsons Comics (I was no.1 in the registry for a while) and I delve in a few “hot” moderns also. I’ve also owned a few asm 129’s, a few hulk 181’s and some other keys and a ton of underground comics - mainly by Robert Crumb. Now that I want to get onto collecting again, I’m really unsure what to start collecting. I LOVE horror books but I’m unsure where to start with this genre. Anyway.... I’m not here to ask any questions, I’m just here to say hi. I look forward to chatting with you all really soon 👍
