Which was the same announcement as last year. Actually, the announcement last year was a potential tv show. The announcement at Image Expo was confirmation the TV show is officially happening. Thankyou - been looking everywhere for that. It's hard to discuss this book for some reason. Is it that some are worried they have over bought, sold too early, have too few - but lets take the $ out of this. TWD - is a world-wide hit. No doubt, and surely no argument from anyone here. PP - I can only assume some haters haven't read it? It's a story 'loosely' based on Peter Pan. The Lost Boys are French resistance fighters - they kill, and get killed. Peter isn't superhuman. He doesn't actually fly. He is just looking for a lost love. The story is told through the eyes of the surviving Wolf Pack, many years later in post-war France. It's a tribute if you will, to the French Resistance in some ways - and as such is a story worth telling. It will appeal to all Europeans who's countries actually underwent that occupation only 70 odd years ago. The WW2 defences still stand in France, England, Holland etc, memorials are everywhere - WW2 is ingrained in the psyche of the European Nations as this happened to them. Of course it has interest. To suggest otherwise is disrespectful of the fallen of all nations. Rememberance day in Europe is huge, just like Gallipoli is to Australia. So, yes, it has relevance to a multitude of people - and the BBC, as said before, do the best period dramas in the world. Peter Pan is still loved by kids all over the world. It still has queues at every Disneyland, the book is still read by millions and is a staple in schools around the world. So it should appeal to young and old There will be a lot of people, who if it is marketed properly, will want to see this. The writing is genius. I am tempted to swap 'boring' for 'not-understood' in a few posts on here. Stick with it. It draws you in very quickly. Now add a comic with only 4814 copies printed (so knock off 1000 as gone forever), and add a thriving readership, add a motion comic starring Wood and Perlman - who have been in hit after hit. The comic will attract publicity from that and a confirmed BBC television series, add the fact that PP will be ongoing further than 25 issues and you have a highly desirable product on your hands. Hate if you want but to label WW2 as 'uninteresting' is quite frankly insulting. I'm invested in this comic and want it to succeed. I have explained why. Perhaps haters could expand their argument for the 'nay' so I and others can understand and not think its just pissy sour grapes because you are not in possession of one. Is this book aimed at kids? Most kids don't give a damn about Peter Pan. Do yours? I've owned 2 #1's and sold one for $220 and another for $265 and I bought them because of speculation from yourself Andy so I thank you for that... But I've never thought that PP was anything special. I read the first 4 issues and found it tough to get past the artwork and unappealing story line. WW2 is not uninteresting. WW2 + Peter Pan in comic book form is uninteresting IMO Not everyone who disagrees is a hater or someone who has never owned one. Just the same as not everyone who defends it has multiple copies or stands to get financial gain such as yourself. Just my opinion

Not looking to argue, but want to discuss this point. You state "PP has the potential to be even bigger because it is based on a subject matter that appeals to a broader audience." I assume you are talking about it being based on Peter Pan? This isn't necessarily aimed only at Mike's Rack, so please anyone chime in: Is Peter Pan really a broader audience than the zombie genre? its up there PP has huge international potential. if done right this will be huge ! Never going to happen. TWD changed everything and it's in the consciousness of ordinary "non collecting" people. Speculators drove the ridiculous prices on this book. No one will EVER give a rats azz about a motion comic no matter who is in it, directing it or wrote it. Anyone who thinks that anyone will even know about this book in 5 years is kidding themselves. WW2 and Peter Pan... Seriously?

what a waste for all that second, third, fourth , image first edition. shame on people doing that to win. What are you trying to say? The Registry is a checklist of all the available slabbed comics in a set. Why is it shameful to own all the books in a set? I'm very proud to have supported Revival enough to own every book, but 3 (not in the registry set yet), released. I might also add that I have every Uncanny X-men book from issue 300 to End including all but a few variants and reprints (I did have from 1 - end before I sold them a few years back). THIS is the main thing wrong with comic book collecting today. Buy what you like. Full stop.

What direction would that be? Every time a book comes out it's the new Walking Dead and speculators start buying up multiples or 100's of copies. Then people complain that there's too many variants that are driven by sales of the #1 issue? Or a movie/TV rumour is started that never eventuates (like the MAJORITY of them) or is total garbage ...Rinse and repeat.

I can understand why Andy wouldn't ship to Australia. The expense is a big issue to and from Canada to Australia and not worth the hassle to me either. At least he was straight up in his sales thread. He can post to where he wants... As for being strange - at least I know for sure Andy won't sodomize my dad

This thread is hilarious.Especially the people who 6 months ago everyone on here were predicting this book was dead in the water - including so called fans (speculators) of the book., Stop looking at this from a comic book nerd perspective. There are still new people that are just discovering TWD. This book will last a lot longer than most will think.... BTW, I have never owned a TWD #1 or any other issues.

It's only a disaster if you paid peak prices for it. If you paid cover you'll still do quite well.

Funny, but true story, this happened to me once. I was bidding on an item using my tablet, my wife's little niece was visiting, she'd seen me bidding and was all into it. When I stepped out on a run to the grocery store I was careless and did not lock my tablet, so she placed two or three bids on my behalf! Needless to say they were for more than I planned to pay, so I had to apologize to the seller. I was so You're still obligated to pay... Just sayin'. If you don't sign out of your ebay account it's your fault. Why should the seller have to go through the hassle of cancelling transactions etc.?

I reported them to ebay. Yeah good luck with that... Ebay could care less about shill bidding etc. in auctions. As long as they get their cut - that's all they care about

Image logos definitely fuel speculation. I agree that Rachel Rising is a brilliant book but because it doesn't sell well on the secondary market no-one gives a shlt about it on this forum. Having said that though I love Revival also.

Sorry Andy but that's a major oversight. At the risk of being unpopular.. Joey does his job well but his communication skills are seriously flawed IMO. He never lets you know what was done with each individual book and never contacts you unless you contact him first. Tony Stark from Comics in a flash - absolutely awesome. A fantastic communicator that kept in touch with me constantly. I never had any issues with how much anything was going to cost like I did with Joey. Joey even ignored all my paperwork that I sent in specifying some books to be fast tracked etc. All my books were submitted under the modern tier. At every stage (when books were pressed, when they were sent to CGC, when they were posted) Tony sent me a message. I was never left wondering. Joey might be suited to some but he isn't the messiah and there are other options out there. Just my humble opinion. i can understand what you are saying. sometimes you do have to stay in constant contact with joey for things to be done the way you want them. But you have to understand how many books and customers he has. andy, by himself, gave joey over 100 books. thats one guy. a lot of people use his services every week. You may receive better communication with other people, but, even though joey doesn't talk much, i trust him completely. he could mail in submissions like other but he takes time out of his already busy schedule to drive books to cgc to personally hand them submissions. he did forget to check the prescreen box, very understandable. like i said previously, he probably tried to make it up to andy, i dont know but i wouldnt throw it past him. Being busy is no excuse. I trust the other presser I work with completely. That goes without saying. Joey is making a lot of money and good luck to him. I just prefer to go elsewhere. There just doesn't seem to be any constructive criticism of his business model on here - at least publicly anyway.

If they fail a pre-screen, they don't get graded. I've had a few fail and they get sent back raw. They NEVER get encapsulated
