  1. Also, my invoice only had 2 books in it post-1996. Most of them were 80s comics.
  2. As others have mentioned previously, I think it has to do with which grader’s table your invoice lands on. Some are apparently grading quicker than others. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing that my 6/7 slow boats are moving so quick…
  3. I sent 25 modern prescreen and 25 modern slow boat and both were received on 6/7/22. The slow boat just changed to GEI today and the prescreen is still sitting at SFG. Honestly, I was surprised that the slow boat submission status changed before the prescreen given previous posts.
  4. One time price drop. Any takers at $100 shipped?
  5. Buy it now and get this frankenstein issue of Ace Comics #50 for free (The book is coverless, but has the front cover for Magic Comics #23 for some reason).
  6. Well loved reader copy. Book is beat, but complete. Condition is fair at best. Cover is still attached. Asking $125 or best offer.
  7. Rules: 1) in the thread or PM by timestamp takes the book. 2) Payment via Paypal or Venmo goods and services. Payment is expected within 24hours of your purchase unless you PM me first. 3) Shipping/Handling is a flat rate of $10 to the continental US for up to two raw books. For CGC books or 3 or more raw books, shipping/handling is a flat rate of $15 to the continental US. For international members (including Canada), please message me first to calculate exact postage before taking the book. 4) No probation list or HOS members allowed. 5) No returns on CGC graded books. Raw books must be returned in their same condition and you must let me know within 3 days of the book being delivered that you will be sending the book back if you are unhappy with your purchase. Buyer covers return shipping unless I missed something.
  8. This is the junk slab era for sure.
  9. What has been people's experience with auction consignments? I have a backlog of slabs and not enough time to list them on my own. I have been trying to find a quick and reliable auction consigner. Curious how the sales compare on MCS to Ebay auctions. Also, what percentage does MCS take for auction sales?
  10. I recently picked up a copy of Cuentos De Brujas #178 which appears to be a Mexican reprint of JIM 83. I never knew this existed and I was surprised when I found out it was printed in 1963. No copies on the CGC census and no recent sales that I could find doing a quick search. Anyone else ever come across this comic before that might know more about it’s value? Book looks to be in 1.0-1.5 condition.
  11. I had two different sellers this past week who couldn't "locate" their copies of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #6 after purchase.
  12. Just got grades back on 50 slow track modern books that were received on 12/7 Out of 50 books, 35 of them I thought were either slam dunk 9.8s or were coin flip 9.6/9.8. Based on my track record with previous subs, my accuracy is around 2/3 or 66% on books like this coming back 9.8. I was sad to see that this time around, my accuracy was closer to 33% as I only received 10 9.8 copies total. I wonder if the stricter grading on modern books is to deter more of them being sent in a time where CGC is drowning in submissions? If that is the case, I won’t be sending in any more books until I notice that grading eases up a bit.
  13. If anyone is feeling frisky and wants the book at my asking price, I will throw in this copy of Sweethearts #44 to sweeten the deal
  14. Also, I'm proud of myself for fixing a fold on the spine. I felt like a surgeon with a toothpick, trying not to rip or tear anything in the process. Here is how the book looks post-op:
  15. I can't seem to find this book for sale anywhere right now. This one is beat, but complete. No funny business in the interior and centerfold is firmly attached. Cover is still hanging on (bless its soul) at the bottom staple. Top staple is detached. The spine is the biggest issue on this copy as it is roughly 2/3 split. Still a nice presenting low grade copy. Calling this FR/GD (1.5) given the cover is not completely detached/split. Not too many recent sales to compare this to, but GPA shows a 1.0 and 1.5 selling for $700 in 2020 and 2021, respectively. I would like to get the same amount if I can. Asking $700 + shipping

  17. $70.5k sale was from March 19th and $65k sale was from today.
  18. Nice! Interesting that Modern Prescreen subs seem to be moving faster recently than non-Prescreen subs. I have 50 moderns with the same Received/SFG date as yours that are still SFG. My experience from 2021 was that Prescreens usually added more time to your submission, but that does not seem to be the case anymore.
  19. Looks like a best offer of $65k was taken according to 130point.com
  20. Looks like @blazingbob's CGC 4.5 copy with no MC he had listed for $100k is no longer available for sale. I wonder if it sold or was moved elsewhere?
  21. The only issue that holds this book back compared to other Marvel keys is the cover unfortunately.
