  1. You should be penalized for not collecting yellows, you fool! :-) ive heard that before! In my not so humble opinion (IMNSHO), you should build registry sets for the following reasons: 1) You think it's fun (that's the only rule that really matters) 2) You care deeply about a book 3) You want to pay tribute to the book by collecting it all in whatever grade you like and love CGC enough to collect slabs Sure, having the most points is fun, but caring about the book and putting together the collections that make you happiest are what's most important, whether you go through the registry or not. Again, just my NSHO.

  3. Don't be modest: it a 9.9 SS FP :-)
  4. Image debuted those at the New York Comic Con for $40. I've been making my posts very unclear recently hah. I meant has anyone seen them listed on Midtown yet. $34 is a good price. They've been up for a few weeks. I didn't see it at $34. That is a great price though!
  5. I think that the Saga RRP is better art, but that the EoW RRP is going to be more difficult to find. The print run is smaller and I've heard horror stories from friends about the condition in which their RRP arrived (let's just say that Diamond was not super concerned about the book arriving in pristine condition). Both books are amazing and there's no need for Jonathan and BKV to fight. They're both cool dudes. Why can't we root for douches to fight? :-)
  6. And Jonathan didn't? :-) Also, Jonathan and Nick signed a LOT of autographs at NYCC. Nick also did commissions and drew a TON of free quick sketches for the fans. I'm shocked that he could even write anything by Sunday. The guy's a champ
  7. Nick said that they were planning on doing a hardcover after each 10 issue block and that, after the series ended, they would release larger volumes every few years. emezy360.... get with the game. You should know this. You stalked Nick and Jonathan's table hard :-) yeah but remember you hear things that I don't being in the inner circle ie lunch with Nick but yeah when I spoke with him he did not give a exact number between hardcovers Haha. I'm in no inner circle. He just let me hang at NY :-) I was just paying attention :-) Big roller with the connections. (thumbs u So not true. If I had connections, I'd be selling more stuff :-)

  10. I picked one up at NYCC, but I didn't browse through it yet. Unless someone else responds, I'll take a look when I get home from work and let you know what extra content is included. There is nothing extra in the book. Just hard bound with the first trade inside. No forward or afterward. sounds "exclusive" ... and I was happy to buy it, particularly at a con. While it's exactly like the TPB (but not our TBP), the hardcover and nice interior pages made it great for sketches and personalization (I didn't have to worry about my soft cover getting mangled after Nick drew in it). I think that the MP 1 hardcover is similar and Felix has offered some great opps for people to get sketched copies that last much better in collections. Just my theory about why the hardcover was a fun buy.
  11. A few got double signed (and a couple got sketched) at NYCC. I imagine that at least a few of these will hit eBay or the boards :-) At least a few will sit happily in their submitter's collections :-)
  12. Good! I just gave away the one I was saving for you:P Thanks for thinking of me in the first place. I appreciate it :-) No worries! Thanks for thinking of me when you got yours. Seriously though, you were a big help at the table. I'm calling dibs on your labor for the next big con! Everyone else, I got your addresses. Prints will go out this coming week (if not sooner ). Haha. I didn't even want one. Nick just gave it to me. I threw it in the display part of one of my book boxes :-) Happy to help. I'll sign up to hang with your artists any day of the week. That didn't come out right. I didn't seek out the print. I just stopped by the Comixology booth on the way back from a pickup at the Image booth to see how Nick was doing. He gave me a print while I was there. I'm very happy to have the print :-)

  15. yo BeerThirty I can't believe I missed that. me too!! Where was I? Hey dudes! Nick gave them out at his comixology signing. You guys were too busy stalking talent in AA :-)
  16. I picked one up. They're pretty cool :-)
  17. I did like how the buyer failed to mention that he was late paying.... No, something like could never impact a ship date.... RIGHT? I can't speak of the buyer's intentions but it does appear there was at least some confusion. Nonetheless, kudos to you for clearing the air and handling this issue for him. It speaks volumes about you and it's also good to know you're a boardie. All that said, I still think you'd have done a bit better here on the boards with those 9.9s. Ebay can be a timing crapshoot sometimes...especially 'round con season. Plus you would have saved the redunkulous Ebay vig....and have guaranteed that the slabs would have gone to a fellow boardie. Anyway, good to see that it's all good. Thanks you for the kind words, I did actually try to sell these on the boards, with no luck... and yeah the Ebay vig is bad and getting worse... I try to be pragmatic when it comes to ebay auctions, some end low and others (that have no reason to) end at twice what I think they should... it all comes clean in the wash I prefer a world where I blame Steve Paulus or, possibly, Rich Henn, for everything. Good seeing you again at NYCC. I was so happy to have time to get beer with the guys for once. Look forward to running into you again soon! Ryan
  18. Nick was a machine. He did a ton of free quick sketches. I have no idea how he was standing at the end of the show. He and Jonathan were pure class acts.
  19. Glad that you are all happy! Matt had fun with all four of those. Thanks to everyone who supports Matt and the book!
