The owner needs to have Stan do a Cockroach sketch over the tape pull and then resubmit it.

The R5-D4 at the bottom is a more modern era figure. The original R5-D4 figure was a lot more simplified and had red equivalents to several R2-D2 features (stickers and legs). The R5-D4 vintage dome also really only had three red dots.

 

It seems like the plan is to do the 20 back figures prior to working on the Empire Strikes Back era vintage figures.

Really didn't capture the likeness for this one.

 

Looks like he recycled his R2D2 body and did a terrible job on the head of the action figure.

I often find his artwork of the characters are a lot better than the action figures he draws.

So this is our first SW one that's completely made up and never existed.* Surprised they're going that route already, especially with an episode 1 Anakin.

 

 

* Technically second if you count Lando, as he never existed on a plain Star Wars backer. That's a pretty minor detail though.

Was hoping for a new character...

 

I do like the Jawa but they coulda skipped the Micheal Scott variant though (and most of the Secret Wars AFs too).

 

 

Can't skip one of the original Star Wars action figures.

I will admin that I am done with any AFV after Secret Wars. The only exception is Star Wars, but I will go down from three to two covers after I get my three Jawa covers.

I have been putting together three complete sets of the color versions of the Star Wars Action Figure Covers. Curious to see how many sets other members are building and who has the most. Anyone putting together a complete set stabbed? That could get pretty pricey if JTC keeps churning these out with no end in sight!

I'm doing three as well. May cut down to two after the original twelve are done.

I found a $10 bill in a comic once.

How much was the comic worth?

People are just not interested in the black and white sketch. Lesson learned.

Got my books today!

Three are great 9.8 candidates. Three would be NM/NM- and two would be NM- or maybe a little less. Really not that bad and can't expect perfection.

The issue with the lesser quality books would be the corners as the moved around a bit in transit. (Look at the books in the lower left of the picture for the ones that are a little dinged up)

Where are the pics for the damaged books? Would really help to see what we are talking about here.

And it may be a way of managing expectations.

Worst case scenario would be audiences arriving with GotG hopes and being served up some 'Fear and Loathing in Gotham City' level unrelatable fever-dream tats&twisted bizarreness.
