  1. All great books, Peter. But I'm jealous of the Iron Man #54. It's such a cool cover.
  2. I never realized this was Kane before. I guess if I would have looked closer I would have noticed Kane anatomy with the Vision and Scarlett Witch. But in the original cover, stuff like Thor's left hand is far more Romita to me. What stories are in that book? I've never seen it before.
  3. I found this on the interwebs while I was trying to find a Gil Kane cover checklist. It's a preliminary sketch for the Avengers #144 cover. Then followed by the final version. I wish somebody else had inked the final version.
  4. Thanks for playing too, Batmiesta! I forgot how good the Man-Thing #4 cover is. And I've never even seen a copy of Tomb of Darkness #12 before. Maybe It's the Tom Palmer inks, but some of these have a Neal Adams vibe.
  5. Ok, I'm going to try to keep this thread going. It's getting lonely here, but hey, Gil Kane only drew about 8 zillion covers. I figure there's plenty of time before the thread goes on life support.
  6. The COTL #14 CGC 9.6 went for a little over $500. And there are 4 9.6s in the census. I put in what I considered a very healthy bid. It turned out to be anemic. I did get a tough Twin Cities Cap (#121) for a reasonable price in the same auction. It's interesting that the picture frame books are realizing stronger prices in comparison. Or at least it seems that way to me.
  7. Did this issue prove hard to find in nice shape? or is it just me? That is a really sharp looking 9.4, or is you scanner enhancing it? I just started trying to finish the run recently, so I don't know if this issue is hard to find or not. I had about 5 or 6 raw issues from the run, but I this book was already slabbed when I bought it. I couldn't resist the cover. I don't think the scanner is enhancing it, but the book has some little spine nicks which aren't so easy to see in the scan.
  8. Plenty. But I usually don't slab them. And I definitely wouldn't post them on the boards!
