  1. It doesn't have the same deep colors as the #42, but I'm still happy with it.
  2. This is one of my favorite books in my whole collection. I bought it 1993 or 1994 at my LCS (Roger's Comics, now The Time Machine). I've always wondered what these Silver Age books looked like when they hit the spinner racks all those years ago. When I saw this book, I finally had a good idea.
  3. Distributor overspray. Oddly, the paint is a pretty good match for the color of the cover.
  4. Fantastic seller. Bought a book Friday night. It arrived Monday afternoon. A perfect, easy transaction (Conan #12). Thanks, Michael!
  5. It took me awhile to realize you guys were talking about the certification numbers. Yeah, really beautiful colors on those 10288 books. Great stuff.
  6. Thanks. It's weird with #12. There are now more 9.6s in the census than 9.4s (7 to 6). But a 9.6 copy has been a very elusive book for me.
  7. Or someone should start a thread about them. I was talking about a photo reference webpage that had all the books in order according to title and release date... That would be pretty cool. Go for it. GCD has scans of all the books but it would be great if they were better quality. And more easily accessible.
  8. Yes. As Austin Powers might say, allow myself to quote myself: The census might have been updated since I compiled the list, but you'll still get the idea.
  9. I think we're going to have to borrow a term from sportcard collecting for that MTU. It's a miscut, not a miswrap. I don't think I've ever seen one that bad before. (Not that the book is bad, of course.) Believe it or not, that is really a pretty nice copy of MTU 33. I've seen much worse but not many better. Ghostown had a better copy and I've got a raw Western Penn that is nicer, but both of those still have problems. I don't know if properly centered or properly cut copies of MTU #33 even exist. Here's my copy and a few from e-Bay:
  10. Cool books. I've never even seen either of those Vault of Evils before.
  11. Great seller. Big thumbs up. Thanks, Wes!
  12. Awesome book. Does that look like Romita to everyone else? Not sure myself. I was wondering about that too. Grand Comics Database even has a note about it: "Cover pencil credit confirmed by Bill Richardson (February 6, 2008) based on the signed original art and confirmed by John Romita. Nick Caputo, via the GCD Error Tracker (Error 2918), suggests the Sal Buscema pencils credit on the basis of the Spider-Man figure." GCD Link
