  3. Starting around 4PM EST today is an End of the Summer Plastic Crack General Sale in Mixed. Let's build up the war chest. (Thaaaaaaaaanks @jaybuck43). I might also reopen a comic fs thread or two as I found what I thought was a missing box.) Some will be at retail. Some will be below retail. Some (cough vintage Joes) will be at a premium. What am I listing first? If you have a preference. PM me and I will let the people decide. There will be: Modern GI Joe both general release and fan club Modern GI Joe Unreleased Figures / Pre Production Pieces Vintage GI Joe Modern Transformers Modern Star Wars 3.75" Modern Star Wars Back Series Reissue Vintage Transformers Comic Cards Maybe some Lego - Have to reinventory after the last sale. Here is a preview. Listings will go on throughout the week. Things will be listed in waves but those waves might be broken up. So for instance if I list modern GI Joe there is a good chance that I might find more modern GI Joe later on to list or if people are claiming it, I will be incentivized to let go of more. There will be some surprises thrown in. There are quite a few things that are not pictured purposely. (yet). So this is how it works. The more that sells, the more I am motivated to list but more importantly the more of a chance I open another box in my storage room or take something off the shelf. The picture is what I immediately pulled.
  4. Forget the nonsense of the k-pop dj's... Bring this guy in from Spain to DJ NYCC
  5. It was actually the idea of a friend of mine that knows about the end of the year shoe sales. She said, two pairs of feet, inflatable pool, chocolate syrup = apt in Miami.
  6. Don't even get me started. I was about to take my used shoe sales to the next level.
  7. Kevin Feige just cut all of his scenes just for this. This reporter just basically asked Mr Brings the Ruckus a great loaded question that Mr Ruckus fell for in answering. Tricky tricky
  8. Children and Kav look at this page. Let's tone it down some.
  9. I said from the beginning that Rally Road could easily manipulate the 'value' of an item to gain investments. It is such an easy scam to see through.
  10. There is also something called "the fear of missing out." All it takes is one impatient person to "raise GPA" for everyone else. All it takes is one person that is willing to hold fast to find that one person who is afraid to miss out to capitalize on it. I did something like this in an ethical way a few months ago where I took a book that I bought on Comiclink for $50 that no one seemed to have. As there was no real data on GPA on the book, I went fishing and I put it on eBay for $325. It sold for that price with the buyer also paying GSP to get it along with the regular shipping. Once I sold that one graded copy, I saw a raw copy show up on Heritage. People used my sale as a benchmark to assess how they should bid on the book and the raw copy sold for about the same in about the same grade on Heritage. Why bring this up? That was with one book. I went fishing and my sale influenced the market on at least two future sales. Imagine using something like that to overtly manipulate the market. Imagine what someone could do with multiples of the same book, listing them in multiple places on multiple exchanges and having a friend make an offer on a ridiculous asking price that is then turned down. Everyone will see that the owner is turning down those prices so in order to get it, they must be willing to open the wallet even more. It is basically shill bidding an exchange listing and that is what I think is going on with some comic books, and what is most likely going on with some games along with artificial inflation and trading things back and forth between the same people. People are establishing artificial benchmarks in order to gain legitimized sales and basically concealing the artificial benchmarks between those legitimized sales.
  11. That’s because Jafar was so bad that they mended things with Robin even giving him a Picasso as a gift.
  12. Here is the thing... When people would try to shoplift media they would slice the shrinkwrap in order to leave the sensor strip behind. It was usually a sticker on the back of the movie. They would sometimes get away with it, sometimes get caught, and sometimes get spooked and leave without taking anything. In either case it was not unusual to find these things with the shrink wrap torn. The funniest instances was when guests would come back and try to return "The Return of Jafar" the Aladdin sequel that did NOT have Robin Williams. They would complain that the movie was just bad. We took those back. If it could be shrink wrapped and put back on the shelf, it was shrink wrapped and put back on the shelf. (We were not supposed to but this was in an effort to cut loss.) I do not recall there being any Disney logos embedded on the rewrapped merchandise. If you knew what you were doing it would look exactly like it was never opened. Spoiler alert. Castmembers would shrink stuff that they wanted to return to other stores. I remember doing that with a video game that I bought that absolutely stunk. Toys R Us thought it was sealed and took it back.
  13. That's another thing. I wonder how they grade those. When I worked for Disney in the mid 90's we used to get media all the time that would be resealed. In fact there were 'castmembers' that would take advantage of the shrink wrap bay for non Disney things if they needed to return things to other stores.
  14. He doesn't - read more than the first paragraph.
  15. The revealed and rumored merchandising support lend to the belief that this is going to be an even more heavily marketed show than the Mandalorian.

  17. Well that dealer still has all the pieces on his website so I guess they aren't moving like he would like them to.
  18. Funny you mention that. That was also part of this morning's texts back and forth how one specific art dealer took on the inventory of another dealer's who took it on from another. I have been following a set of certain pages when they were announced to the public as being 'for sale' and then they 'sold' but the others were available at an increased price. I am becoming disenchanted with collecting these days.
  19. There is another scam going on that a board member texted me about this morning only for me to tell them that this was going on with comic books as far as I know about 7-8 years ago. I am really becoming disenchanted with collecting these days with the more I find out.
  20. Like I have said earlier this year. Money launderers are discovering collectables again.
  21. Just seeing where youtube is taking me...
