  1. It gets more pathetic. This was two weeks ago. I had subsequent inquiries to see if this was available and I had to turn them away because this guy 'claimed it'.
  2. This happens very frequently. Happened last week on a $35 + shipping item in a Facebook group. (Not the GI Joe groups thankfully) They claimed it so I told others it was no longer available. As I am giving her and her fiance payment option they asked if I would do $30 + shipping. Said, 'no' and that they already claimed it. The couple / person responding said that they thought it was only worth $30. Then they said they couldn't afford it and would have to wait until next payday to pay the $35. I was a jerk Now I am keeping it. It was a message from the collecting gods. Screw this person and now no one gets it.
  3. "Lil Cardi B's" Trust me on this one...
  4. I found it entertaining. It wasn't like there was a lot of deep thought required to watch or something that I would say was good or bad. It was entertaining enough that if they made a sequel and it was on Amazon Prime and I wanted something to watch because there was nothing else on... I would have no problem being entertained again.
  5. Oh LIRR... That's not even the most shocking thing that you offer the riders.
  6. No because it seems to make a little more sense than they are just 'there'. Thanos was included in the line that made it for me but not because of Thanos itself. With this movie, I have had the attitude of, 'why now' and simply, 'why'? Why is this relevant. @fantastic_four gave a good example of how this might introduce mutants to the MCU. However the line that sells it for me is when they provide the answer. The Thanos snap wipes everyone out but Tony Stark's snap brings everyone back and also provides the energy needed to awaken the big bad for this movie. When they announced Eternals many people wanted to know where were these guys during Endgame? And this is a question that people are going to ask of the Fantastic Four and eventually the X-Men when announced. Eternals addresses that finally in the trailer which was kind of important to establish some more credibility with an audience to buy into the movie.
  7. I know nothing about the Eternals and I’ve kept it that way so I can go in completely blind and without expectations. This has been the first trailer I’ve seen for this movie that also captures my attention as something I need to see.
  8. That is something separate all together though and a more valid topic to discuss rather than Spider-man should be separated from other Marvel characters.
  9. I agree that Avatar was not as great as the hype leads people to believe. However, as far as him spending the next twenty years doing nothing but Avatar? I don't know if that is true. Cameron has used his financial success with Titanic and Avatar to actually fund his passion project of ocean exploration which has actually greatly served the scientific community. Personally I feel that the Avatar sequels are being made so he was able to fund Nat Geo's, "Secrets of Whales" and other ventures. If you take a look at his producing credits you will see that he is responsible for a lot of documentaries and exposure to topics that would not normally be presented to the public. This begins with Titanic but goes full gear with the financial success of Avatar. Maybe he has said all he really wants to say with non-fictional stories and wants to pursue other ventures. Without him though, a lot of these scientific explorations would not be possible. I screen shot his imdb producing credits and threw in the trailer to Secrets of Whales which he spearheaded. That was one of the more engaging documentaries I watched recently.
  10. Again, we could not be in any more of a disagreement over this. See my comparisons above. I would lean toward agreement with you if they were trying to acquire DC or more characters outside of the Marvel stable. However, Spider-man has been a Marvel character for almost sixty years. This is not like they are trying to acquire something they don't already half own. This is about the cinema rights in regard to a character they already own.
  11. It's not an official breakup and makeup until he gets a Picasso out of it. 3 Internet points to anyone who gets that without having to look up the reference.
  12. We could not have any greater degree of disagreement on this. This statement is like saying, "I like Star Wars but Luke Skywalker should be controlled by another company so that Disney doesn't have a monopoly." This is like saying, "I am a big fan of Charles Schulz' Peanuts Cartoon but someone else should have the rights to publish and control the Snoopy character so United Features Syndicate doesn't have a monopoly." Marvel does not have a monopoly. Disney does not have a monopoly. There are DC, Valiant, and Classics Media characters that are already being developed and are being explored for future opportunities. Personally, I think the greatest untapped character out there is Turok the Dinosaur Hunter. I raved the other day how much fun I found Jungle Cruise. Turok could find its influence in Jumanji, Aliens, Jules Verne and a slew of other movies and literary work to be a franchise upon itself if the right director, actors, and screenwriters were attached. Marvel doesn't hold a monopoly over anything as we have seen this summer. They have a vast character library that has been developed over the course of the past eighty some odd years.
  13. At one point there was a tentative deal being made so I didn't want to add... but then... I found more 'stuff' I cannot sleep. Let's throw out a few lines and see if anyone is hungry for a late night snack...
  14. That's why I said I wonder. However, with that said, I think that Disney has certainly had internal discussions as to, "why not just buy it back from them." There are several reasons I think Disney would be willing to throw a boatload of cash to Sony for the rights back and a lot of leverage they could give Sony on their streaming platform to sweeten the deal. If I am Disney and Sony is holding out, I give them mega cash plus a share in the fees of streams of Sony movies on Disney+. Give them their own tab like Nat Geo. Spider-man is to Marvel as Mickey is to Disney so I am sure some are gritting their teeth behind the scenes that Spidey and actually the more I think as I type this Miles need to come... 'home'. Actually that raises a more interesting question. As far as licensing, value and potential, is there more money in Miles at this point than Peter?
  15. Now what about Stan in the chair reading comics to kids?
  16. That book was MADE for Stan to sign. so nyeh nyeh I found some more silver and stuff to list (shameless plug) Steranko's signature is artwork on it's own but I think we have had that conversation before.
  17. Sorry @kav I think there are some books improved by Lee's signature.
