  1. Which ones? I am curious. I think you bought a couple of Avenging Spider-man 9's (1st Carol as Captain Marvel) for 33¢ or something. Keep in mind that there were board members here who passed on those books . All of those books came from "Ted from a couple of towns away" from where you worked and were a "Stinky" assortment of books. He knew he was going to retire in a few years at that point and wanted to move inventory. At that point I have known him for for well over twenty years so I wound up moving around a dozen boxes worth of inventory as a favor. There were a couple of issues that I kept for myself with his permission that have turned out to be worth a decent amount. One book is in the multiple four figures in a 9.8.
  2. Remember that rather large modern thread I did. Some stuff went to Staten Island. There will never be a shortage of stuff that nobody wants.
  3. Wait... what’s so great about daredevil 9? Didn’t realize I had a copy until I was pulling books for that modern thread a week ago
  4. Thanks, he had me worried that I was the only one. I had received the email that they split it but I went to bed worried that the second signing had been completed. Because while my book says, "Received for in House Grading", nothing is ever certain especially with the reported volume.
  5. This is a set of 55 volumes as they contain yearly update editions going up to to the 1970's. If they do not sell they are being recycled or something. @onlyweaknesskryptonite it has nothing to do with 'edited'. I mean these books are erroneous by today's scientific standards and may only be valuable for historical curiosity. Keep in mind, this is pre-cold war, pre-space program, pre-polio vaccine...
  6. I remember you telling us about that experience from... ten or fifteen years ago.
  7. I have a complete set of leather bound encyclopedia from the 40's that are also on their way out. Strangely enough, there is a demand.
  8. Let's just be honest. Anything can happen. So if it's a 50 day TAT, don't be surprised if a week is thrown on there due to unexpected circumstances over the course of those fifty days.
  9. You should answer it now then. By the time Spider-man turns 70, it will be 2032. Unless you plan on making Guinness for being the oldest human on the planet, you best write it down now to preserve for future generations.
  10. They are the earliest of the ASM run and the books feature the first appearances of some major marvel villains. The fact that Ditko was the cover artist is incidental. When people are shopping for a copy of ASM 14 are they looking for a Ditko cover or the first appearance of the Green Goblin? Is ASM 31 great because Ditko drew it or because it's the first appearance of Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn? Spiderman turns 60 next year. What were the value of some of the earlier Superman and Batman issues when they turned 60? What will happen when they are 70 years old?
