CGC taking a pause is an actual concern for me. I have things put aside that I want to send to Joe to press and then send to CGC. Last year I sent books to Joe at the end of May. He was done with them in beginning or mid July. Then he brought them to CGC for me and they stayed there until they were shipped on 11/30. I don't know what to do as I have my doubts with everyone sending everything including grandma in to be graded by CGC.

That notwithstanding, I do not believe that CGC has designed a holder capable of handling a bulk pack like that. The other grading companies are processing unopened packs of cards so that might be the only avenue to go.

Or raise their prices to dissuade people from sending in 200-300 a month but still reap the profit. They can grade on time and still make the same amount of money and people will be more selective about what they submit.

I don't know what CGC is going to do first; hire more graders to work on their backlog OR get more moderators to help sort out the "Cardies" ™ and their board shenanigans. Thanks that was the one thing that I was questioning as to whether or not the membership benefits were extended. That might have been the only part of doing that which could be seen as a potential breach of contract. As far as people complaining, I agree with Moore. If you are flooding them with stuff then what did you expect to happen? If I decide to spend the money and send in 100,000 books in April, CGC cannot handle that and no company could reasonably be expected to. Taking a pause is the only recourse.

Here is the problem right here with the people submitting cards. As one of the card submitters mentioned: Yes, this is the sports side of things... but I can only imagine what the Pokemon and Magic guys are doing. If everyone is flooding them with cards sending 200-300 cards a month what did they all think was going to happen? Also... why? $2000-3000 a month in plastic encasements? As CGC board member wrote:

It's not. I agree with you there. I think my issue with it, the more I look at it, is that the other 86' movie studio series figures have a nice streamlined look. This figure looks like it has too much heft when he is compared to Hot Rod and Kup. With that said, I think it is the best Galvatron that they have made. (I just missed the book I wanted to win on Comiclink as I was looking too long at toys. So this post either cost me a book I was eying or it saved me $350 I can put toward the thing I want on ComicConnect) Dammnit... I think.

Before Covid this was a problem with Fed Ex. (At least on Long Island) They signed for a Superman 3 that I had bought and left it at the wrong address. They tried to say that I was home and signed for it. I was at work when it was signed for. I called Comiclink and I think they joined in and called Fed Ex as well. I eventually got my package and the Fed Ex driver complained to me that I almost cost him his job. I think (think) that Bob Storms had a situation where a customer of his had a package signed for by Fed Ex and left on the doorstep. A porch pirate took the parcel. That package X-Men 1 in a 1.8 and ASM 1 in a 6.5. That was a police incident. Original Post from Bob Storms But... what was worse? My own boss has a habit of sending late night texts and emails. One time I just responded to a late night weekend text with: "Error Code 7392: We are sorry but the Verizon customer you are trying to reach is unavailable. Please check your number and try again. Thank you." I had a couple of hours of silence until I received a text of, "Ha ha - funny, but a good idea and I will be using this with other people. (my text response). I also no longer get late night texts unless they are of incredible importance.

I haven't heard that song in years.
