  1. That's one way of looking at it I guess. You should do some more reading of the actual exchange between Boyega and Michael Rappaport where he explained himself again.
  2. @Yorick (Sorry I thought I quoted you) Each slide loads into the tray... one at a time. So I have to remove the slide from the metal 1970's individual slide holder, put the slide in the tray, slide it into the scanner and hit save. Take the tray out, remove slide. Start over. It's not so bad saving it to a SanDisk Micro Super thingy drive as once the box it full I remove it and put it on a folder in my desktop named after whatever the box was. Then I have to make adjustments like rotate certain images. It's tedious but mechanical. The trick is where I am going to put this. I wanted something on Facebook that I could create dedicated albums like on a personal page. Unfortunately that is not possible in 'groups'. I want them to be organized so the entire family both close and distant can see them. First Box done... my parents 1973 visit to Florence with my grandmother and grandfather and my Aunt... this was before I was born so some of this is kind of interesting. As I do this I cannot help but wonder what my grandfather must have been thinking as he went through Europe with them considering he had been there thirty years prior when it was not considered a vacation.
  3. I thought there would be software or something or that it would pick it up with my mac... nope... I have to look at everything on the view screen and save it to a SD Card. I am also trying to figure out which is the best way to put the slides in the trays using the right trays and feeders... I spent what I did on this because supposedly the higher price meant ease in use. This is my Christmas present to everyone for socially distant Christmas... I have about 6,000 slides to go through from WWII to the late 60's possibly 70's.
  4. As I have the boards open and watching Heritage and eBay I am trying to put together a Kodak Scanza for my grandfather's old slides... I don't know what the hell I am doing. Now you want me to put word balloons in pictures... Let's all be lucky I can do important things like make memes using imagflip.
  5. "You'll shoot your eye out kid." Yeah I know... not the same thing... but it's related
  6. Grade them. It protects you from someone returning a fake one.
  7. As a single digit aged kid, I never dreamed of wielding anything other than a lightsaber.
  8. Organize them. When I start flipping through stuff I know I don't want at the Bellmore train station, after the first couple of boxes, I stop looking. I don't have all day to sort through someone else's disorganization. Bag and board them. One thing I learned from Chris of Serious Comics, Joey from Collector's Comics RIP, and Teddy of Stinky's Comics... (all places I believe you are familiar with when they were in business) everything looks nicer in a bag and a board. Plus, tire kickers won't be able to ruin them over time since a lot of it will be sitting there for awhile.
  9. Pretty sure this is a die cast single boxed release. The scale would indicate the 3.5" size.
  10. Here you go... I was right Shogun Warrios... mini diecast and here is a link. https://thetoyarchives.com/blog/mattels-shogun-warriors-the-super-robots/
  11. I am out and on my phone - that is a shogun Warrior... when I get some time I will dig up exactly which one... mattel put those out... I hate them... it’s because of them and battle star galactica toys that we never got a missile firing boba Fett.
  12. Wait and see what type of promo they offer. I have not bought anything since double points unless I found it on deep discount on Amazon or wanted the promo. That means the last time I ordered anything directly from Lego was when they did double points and I ordered the Razor Crest back in April/March? October or November is usually a good month but they might make ordering Mos Eisely interesting with a certain promo.
  13. Next... I asked the guys to get me a Speeder Bike. The speeder bike uses two rods with arms at the end like the ones on the Falcon... (I have a lot of spare parts laying around since I had bought out some generic lots over the years.). This enabled me... them to connect the front mandibles but still swivel in for storage. The rods then slide up and the bike folds up a bit to make it more compact for storage. A cart attaches to the bike using the port from 1970's and 80's early space. I love that this stuff has always been compatible with what came before it. The Crane Train itself is a HTF set that I bought on eBay when you could easily get sets like that. The Bike, the wagon, and two crates of tools are easily stored on board. Not pictured is a spare generic astromech I had laying around and an ugnaught has been fitted into the main cockpit with a nanny assassin droid. I am sure that Lego will eventually make their own... but for now this will suffice. Oh, and I added a fire extinguisher. All the big ships usually had them.
  14. September 16th... Here comes the spaceport you always wanted. Pics were leaked yesterday. Side note... I saw the Walrusman in another pic. That figure must have leaked last year or something because it is pretty much the same in comparison to a bootleg Walrusman I already have from China.
  15. Maybe but then there are instances where I was a few minutes late to the part and someone sold a $800 book on eBay the other day for a BIN of around $150. So... you never know. No, I am not telling anyone the book since I still want a copy.
  16. No, but I have always found that public bashing of a company on Twitter and Facebook and tagging them in it gets the fastest response. When I tried to tell Samsung that my TV caught fire and started melting from the inside out I did not get a response. (Despite it being common for that model) Post the pics on FB and Twitter calling them out on it while tagging them or posting it on their official account and you get some action.
  17. Saturday morning fixes... Quick easy two piece fix for the Razor Crest Escape Pod... I didn't know what to do so I asked a couple of 40 year old Lego guys to think of something. All it took was a 4x4 flat round plate combined with an extra micro tie fighter shield. They did not take anything away from the Razor Crest... They just added two pieces... Speeder bike was also built this morning... It had to be modified from what is show on screen so it can fold up a bit in the ship to give room for cargo.
  18. I posted an adhere to the rules thing last night and specifically named rules 9 and 10 in a thread... but did not hump the button. The seller immediately changed their rules... no button humping was necessary. (9 and 10) are asking for PayPal fees ...
  19. I don't think so. If they do yell at you blame Hector.
