  1. A couple of hours I think... some said 3-4... some said 6.... mine were soaking for 8 + However... I just washed them off... I think I will give them another bath tomorrow
  2. You know what I forgot to do... I just realized around 10:30 that there are two Wampas in my backyard.
  3. Partially True... I understand the concept... I don't understand the following: Where are you finding these fair or poor condition books to begin with that you are breaking up? Are they bidding on bound copies and breaking them up? Are they bidding on restored copies and breaking them up? Should these pages command the prices that they do? At what point is a reprint more valuable than a page from the book? Is there a growing market? To what extent? Superman 1 might be a book to break up but Superman 2? 3? I think someone had the page from ASM 42 encapsulated and signed by Romtia (Face it Tiger!) So yeah... I disagree with part of it..., but don't understand the market surrounding it.
  4. I’m hitting two more on the way home - currently about to walk into target 6
  5. K - leaving and headed to Target 5 - doing a loop around half of Long Island score so far
  6. Apparently the nicest target is located nearby where the Long Island Ducks play... big store clean stocked with everything but toys
  7. We should have a contest to see how the rest of the country can pronounce the Long Island towns named after Native American words and tribes. Wantagh Copiague Patchague
  8. That’s what I was hoping to find - found him stashed - I remember him from Star Tours. i found him stashed
  9. Let's take a trip to Target to see all the Star Wars, GI Joe, and Transformers stuff they 'don't have'... "Wampa's, watch the house while I am gone."
  10. Oh yeah ... I lost interest as soon as Hondo Ohnaka became available on a card. After seeing the comparison of the two falcons on youtube and preordering my own Hondo Ohnaka, I am satisfied with my Legacy Falcon. It was not worth $400 to get a deeper paint wash, an alternate radar dish, 6 porgs, and three crates.
  11. Let's see what happens... Anyone have a recommendation for how many hours? I put them outside at 2:10 PM. I used a toothbrush to really scrub the salon 40 into the contours of one of the wampas. He is in the bag. I had to use the lid to the jar with the peroxide. The wampa is surprisingly buoyant despite me trying to let everything leak into it. I flipped him since the legs retained their white color while it was the torso that had yellowed.
  12. Let's try this lightening thing today... I have two wampas. One less yellowy one will get the peroxide treatment. The really yellow one will get the salaon 40 treatment. Let's see what happens...
  13. I still don't understand the buying of pages thing... Anyone have a Tec 7 or Action 1 with brittle pages? Let's smash it to crumbs and sell each flake in a locket for $100 each.
  14. You do not have to do 30 day returns or returns at all. I have said this before, set your listings to no returns because it does turn away certain types of buyers. When I sell it piece of jewelry it dissuades the type of buyer that wants to 'borrow' the piece or 'rent' it for a week. I have had buyer's outright tell me that they would not buy from me because of my return policy because they only wanted to wear it to a wedding or something like that. Um... Since I am not a lending service I am comfortable with that buyer not shopping with me. I have not had any headaches due to this as it keeps problematic buyers away and everything eventually sells anyway be it the day after I post something or a couple of years. Enough things sell between that time frame to keep it interesting.
  15. A lot of the books from that time period have that white spine. Another great example is ASM Issue 151 which is notoriously hard to find with a decent wrap. I own the 9.4. I found the white stripe on the side to be distracting so the 9.6 on eBay would never be a contender for me within my own collection.
