  1. This guy is as loony as bitcoinswarmi - don’t even bother with him... check his lunacy out in the back to the future thread... when Valiantman gets annoyed with you and walks away that should tell you something.
  2. I had to travel to Apple this afternoon so I stopped at two targets checking - nada - you wouldn’t know they even sold toys at all. They did have the Batman Animated Blue Variant but I left it. I’m not collecting this 6” Joe line but if I see them people here can have them.
  3. To be honest I’m looking forward to a partial collapse of the theater industry. I’m standing on line at Apple right now so I cannot pull the article up in support of what I will say here (right now). If the theater experience collapses then there will be more of a shift toward streaming where delivery of product is MUCH cheaper. This would allow a wider breadth of films to reach audiences. There are films that would get the green light that would ordinarily not if there was even more of a shift toward streaming.
  4. I was going to say the same thing. It is rare that it happens but sometimes unpublished pages are more sought after than the published pages. I believe another good example are the McFarlane GI Joe pages that were scrapped in GI Joe 61 vs Marshall Rogers who came in near the deadline to redraw the issue. To be fair... McFarlane's style did NOT fit GI Joe and is pretty poor in comparison... Check it out here. https://www.cbr.com/gi-joe-todd-mcfarlane-rejected-version/2/
  5. No need to justify anything to anyone. You do you and its a fine collection. For me though, I am definitely hoarding certain books for the sake of it. There are two books that I will always pick up in the 6.0 to 8.0 range whenever I see an underpriced copy for future resale. No, I don't leave it for someone else to find. It's a Silver Age book... people have had over 50 years to buy them up.
  6. I would get hives living in a situation like that. That also definitely looks like a case of quantity over quality.
  7. Seller immediately offered me a partial refund or a return. I took the return... he just refunded me. This is how the book was shipped out. Apparently, I can keep it but seriously... The book was $23. Would it have killed him to put more than a single layer of cardboard on each side? I don't blame the USPS at all on this. Seller instantly made it right but said he has not ever had a problem before... I refuse to believe that... I am not even that picky... I truly understand that NM means 9.2-9.4...
  8. Another thing I remember getting in trouble with in the 90's was sneaking into the stock room at Toys R Us... I got yelled at for that one... I did that in college when finding certain toys meant I could flip them to make my college books cheaper.
  9. My take? Someone bought them under a different bar code to beat the street date. Make believe that Target would not let the troopers go due to a supposed street date... scan a Roadblock or Scarlett or Destro... same figure and brand... store gets the same money so they don't care but you walk off with the Troopers... so technically the store's books are balanced but the inventory is askew. That's how we used to do it back in da 90's...
  10. Nice... I almost went for the 169 - If I do the run... I will go straight through on the 9.4 level... except for ASM 101. I have a 9.0 and am not going to spend what it takes to bring home a 9.4. Also not going to downgrade any 9.6's that I already have... I am considering it though. If I do we will have to coordinate... you are ahead of me and I don't want to step on your toes so I would go after what you already have crossed off your list.
  11. @batman_fan Anything? I had the Disney book already but it is the only Mickey Mouse war book. I don't mind owning a couple of these.
  12. According to online inventory searches, there are six Beachheads at my Target... as I took the car out a tree fell and landed across someone else's property which was a shock... so I turned around and came home to find my grill and patio set turned over in my yard. Yeah... I'm good and will stay put. Winds are dying down but they are still blowing over stuff that already cracked during the stronger winds a few hours earlier.
  13. @STORMSHADOW_80 wait... is it a jacket or a skirt like article of clothing that can fit over a waist? If it is the skirt like piece then that goes with Klatuu. Also the Wampa and Taun Taun look to be in excellent shape. It is hard to find a non yellowed Wampa or Taun Taun.
  14. Usually someone made a mistake by putting things like this out. Then the space where they were in the stock room is shuffled about or filled in so bringing back an endcap of product is not an easy task since all the other shelves around it have been adjusted to accommodate that product. If stores sell items before the street date there actually can be penalties for the vendor. When I worked for Disney they actively went after people that violated street date rules. I remember there even being rewards if you had a dated receipt that showed you bought a particular video or DVD before the street date.
  15. The 12" IG-88 is also worth keeping. They do not come up that often and even without weapons usually go for $100-150
  16. Boba Fett alone will get you $30-40 if it is in half decent shape. The hovercraft fins... Apparently the California Gold Rush is still going on.
  17. I finished all 20 episodes over two days... It was good and I am interested in a season 3.
  18. I just received another box of books from MCS and can still say that I have never been disappointed.
  19. Watching this for the first time now... I’m on 1-5 never read the books so this is all new to me
  20. Believe it or not this was featured on my Yahoo News Feed. https://news.yahoo.com/stream-day-steven-soderbergh-raiders-150054392.html
