  1. I am going to see if I can set up the outdoor fire place... might sit there and read the boards from there.... be back eventually
  2. ohhhh.... cool - the aftermath... There was blood all over the LIRR car... They really did go at it see?
  3. For reference... that was July 30th 2010 according to Facebook. Who knows where these fine examples of civilized society are today, ten years later.
  4. This one is my personal favorite. You can almost see the F word rolling off the lips of the guy to the right. I had to walk up close to get this pic. I pretty much remember the guy on the left yelling that he was going to kick the guy on the right's arse if he didn't shut up and sit down. The guy on the right was not hearing it. I had to get in close to get this one as I knew it would be interesting. They went right at it after the guy on the right told the guy on the left what he could do with himself. I backed away once they started bouncing all over the car. You will notice the cops about to board and end it. I thought it would be prudent to slip into the background.
  5. I will pay so long as you continually update me on your progress. https://courseforanger.com/ Side note... I just signed up for a 12 issue subscription with Marvel Comics for my ASM fix. Now what is interesting about that. Midtown Comics does not (or I overlooked it) offer a single title subscription. However, once I confirmed my order for ASM through Marvel itself, I was notified that Midtown Comics will be fulfilling the order. Wouldn't it simply be cheaper if Midtown offered single title subscriptions on their own? I am sure they are paying Marvel some type of finder's fee to be the facilitator of these orders.
  6. All that tells me is that you need to take an anger management or violence prevention course.
  7. I have heard I am going to kick your a and seen it followed through. What you are saying is not true. Therefore for anyone to actually follow this advice that if someone yells at you that are going to kick your a**, there are many instances where it is not a trope but something that may be followed through with. For anyone who thinks I am being sensationalistic I have a wonderful hobby of taking pictures of all the nonsense I see on the subways and LIRR... You know how when there is a fight and people start to scatter? I get closer and take out my cell phone to take pictures and video. It makes the commute more interesting.
  8. What's next? Does Liefeld start charging various rates depending on the condition of the NM98?
  9. From 1998 until December of 2019, when the LCS closed, I was a one title guy, ASM. There was one small period where I increased it to two titles but that was only when they launched the new Valiant line. I doubt I will find that again. It looks like I am going to try to do a subscription with Marvel itself.
  10. That's not always true. Here in New York, people uphold their end of a bargain. Subway on the L train, "If you get close to me again, I'm gonna beat the s out of you." Guy squeezes near so he can get on the train, Someone upheld their bargain. "Say that again, I'm going to smack the s out of you." Girl said it again on the platform. Girl got the s smacked out of her.
  11. My PayPal ready buyer never came through... go figure... someone else bought the item at the price I wanted. Apparently you don’t have to announce you are PayPal ready to BE PayPal ready.
  12. I caved... I saw that Hasbro Pulse was offering a new round of pre-orders and since this was so well reviewed as a mini-masterpiece... AND I did a nice little sale tonight... Treat yo' Self https://hasbropulse.com/products/transformers-generations-war-for-cybertron-earthrise-leader-wfc-e11-optimus-prime-figure
  13. I am tempted to do an actual subscription with Marvel. Is that still a thing? No comic shop in the world is going to allow me to have a pull list of one title. I have a feeling that the next year's worth of books are going to be in very short supply.
  14. Some. Enough to get by with what I need to do. I do not speak a stitch of italian except for the curse words.
  15. I just took a look at realized prices and would say that the answer to that is no. However it does seem to be one of most sought after issues. And... I have to be honest... it is now on my radar. There has been a lot of talk lately of this 'version' of Spider-man. I have a few issues stashed somewhere of generic issues that I saved more as a curiosity. But, with all the talk and the recent sales thread in the for sale section, I gotta say, it has caught my attention.
  16. That is true. I think though that they do the best they can with what exists at the time. I don't think we get a seamless Jackson without further development from what we got with CGI Leia and Tarkin.
  17. I feel like I am the only other person here that notices that when you set up your photo displays to show us your latest Joe pickups that you are actually recreating the box art.
  18. Same issue. The house was completed in 1937 constructed of concrete stucco exterior with lath and plaster interiors. To be fair the house is built like a tank. However, the wallpaper issue was the same in the kitchen. Apparently, back then you would just apply new wallpaper over the old and if you wanted paint then it was okay to paint over the old wallpaper as well. Then sometime in the 760's or 70's someone put paneling up over the whole mess. The result was multiple layers of wallpaper and paint that had to come down. I eventually got it all but with a lot of steaming and scrubbing. I soon realized that the residue from the 80 years of glue might cause problems with the paint. At the end of the day I just put up 1/4" drywall on top of it and painted it. As far as asbestos... I am eventually looking for someone to redo the living room. At some point someone applied the old asbestos tile on top of the wood floor and then they eventually put rugs on top of that. I still have the last set of rugs from the previous owner as they are in decent shape and not something I feel like tackling. Once I decide to replace them though, I am going with rugs again as to strip the floor back down the wood, which would probably need to be replaced throughout the house anyway, would mean breaking through the asbestos tile. Ah - homeownership. I just used my lunch hour to go outside and do some yardwork.
  19. Reduce the size when you go to print. For smaller items I print at 85% and you would be surprised how well they fit on an envelope or smaller box. I do this when I ship action figures in small boxes.
