  1. Good chance he already sold the book you traded which could also be slowing down his response and secretly and severely limiting his options.
  2. What's amusing about that is the fact it was purchased to be overly dramatic at work when the building we were operating in had mold all over the place and asbestos but no one was doing anything about it.
  3. If I sell it, it will be for MUCH more than I paid... muhahahahahahahahahahah
  4. Even though I took this Tony Daniel piece home it has me thinking though about things... thinking of taking a break - did I buy it because I really wanted it or did I buy it because I wanted to take something home... 🤔
  5. Woke up an hour ago to see that I got an order for a $30 GI Joe figure... I was asking $30 or best offer. Buyer decided to just outright buy it. It's an international sale going to a zero feedback buyer that just registered for an eBay account today. Yeah, this is another reason I will stick with Global Shipping. However, this is what brings me to my question. I noticed that eBay's managed payments system is not supporting the Global Shipping Program. (at least the last I read about it.) Does anyone know what the story is behind that or if managed payments will have some sort of comparable program moving forward? As of now I plan on holding off for as long as possible.
  6. Keep in mind that the Sunday auctions were ending very late by EST standards. If there was a page drawn by an artist at the tail end of the alphabet that competition was dying out as the midnight hour was approaching. If you have the auction on a Sunday then sellers with artists toward the Z end of things are getting shortchanged. If you have it on Monday then artists at the A end of the things are being shortchanged. With the bulk of material these days it is hard to fit all of these listings in auctions in a way that will benefit everyone at all times.
  7. and I had posted this in the SW thread but this still gives me the giggles.
  8. I was going to say Venom also. What about Ben Reilly? There were a lot of one panel, mysterious shots of him before it was established that there were two individuals claiming to be Peter Parker.
  9. Coronavirus? I figure this will either keep me safe from airborne pathogens on the subway OR it will scare the hell out of everyone so I get the subway car to myself. I bought this years ago to wear into work when those in charge of the building couldn't be bothered to address the mold issue. Yes it is real. Bosses didn't find it amusing. However, it sent the message. Spoiler alert... Mold issue was addressed. @porcupine48 somehow I think you will get a kick out of this.
  10. I don't like it when CCS does it. I don't like it when anyone else does it. Scraping CT off is further damaging a book. Removing bits and pieces to mask a trimmed edge is further damaging a book. Both are low class moves.
  11. Dear CGC Board Members... we had a deal... " @Buzzetta " To be fair, I have openly said that I am very much against people having CCS scrape or tear off color touch. I am going to be consistent here and agree with @KryptoSpidey that there is NO DIFFERENCE in what he is doing and what CCS does. With that said, I think both are instances of low class moves. With that said,
  12. Yes... you pick a square out of one hundred of them and once all one hundred boxes are sold, they draw the numbers at random. You collect at the end of every quarter if the score ends in the numbers that you have. So... if the score is KC 18 to SF 21 at the end of any quarter I collect because I have KC 8 - SF 1
  13. My superbowl boxes for anyone playing along... KC 0 - SF 7 KC 6 - SF 0 KC 4 - SF 3 KC 8 - SF 1
  14. I am feeling an itch for AC in August... Feeling an itch for a beach show... Feeling an itch to see (me) with a ticket stub in my hand Maybe... never miss a Sunday show...
  15. Heritage made it right for me with a Cap 48. I had a similar situation but the book was trimmed. People will make mistakes. It is really about how they fix them.
  16. Schtaaaaaaap... you act like they would have turned down money.
  17. No... That is not true. Window bags were not a requirement. I called and asked that question when I thought about sending a couple of raw copies down there.
  18. I sent in three graded books so obviously no window bags. Two Spider-man 1's at 9.8 both silver and green.... they came both back at 9.8. One ASM 301 at a 9.4 that came back as a 9.4... Window bags? I don't do window bags and I don't crack out my own books.
  19. Do I buy the Lego Speed Champions Black Charger that they released... Amazon Lego 75893 - Speed Champions Charger Or do I wait and see what emerges from the Fast and the Furious Lego Partnership... Brothers Brick Fast and the Furious Lego Partnership
  20. I still think the best one was number 5. I can watch that one over and over. It was like the Fast and the Furious crossed with Ocean's 11.
  21. For the record... I think Victor is the one that tried to burn down Cheryl's 'She Shed'.
