  1. Can he reform the soffit over my steps? Apparently no one wants to work on Long Island. Trying to get a handyman to do something is the hardest part of my weekend so far.
  2. He sent about 30+ of us a private message. I've now received some sound financial advice.
  3. If only @BITCOINSWAMI was around to advise you in your venture... But what do I know... for all I know he might not be able to offer any sound advice on GSXM1 and just hand out advice on Funko Pops... Nah... that would be silly.
  4. I regret selling my POTF Obi Wan MOC. Maybe that will be put on my 'want list' at some point.
  5. https://www.ebay.com/usr/stebbins_j Stebbins_j He had a pretty full eBay store shortly before the holidays. He took everyone's money and then ran. Postage labels were submitted but no movement. eBay feedback slipped from 100% to 79% since the last week in December as he has received MANY negatives from similar buyers. However, when I called PayPal to get the ball rolling they let is slip that the money is being held in his account. When I asked if that meant that the money had not been withdrawn. They said, "umm uhhh... well..." So... maybe the guy got hit by a bus before he sent everyone's stuff out. Either way... I want my $76 back.
  6. There is a difference between customer service and that. If you are feeling that kind and generous, then at the minimum I would ask for a police report.
  7. I receive about 3/5 of the items I order from China. About 2/5 are collect and run type things. I order anyway and let eBay deal with the nonsense and issue the refund. They can either keep China off of their site or continue issuing guaranteed money. For example I just placed three orders for custom Lego minifigs on eBay from Chinese vendors. Two orders say they are en route. One order has already been erased by eBay... so will call on Monday to get them to issue me a refund.
  8. Please tell me you make them send you a copy of a police report at least?
  9. I second that. I used the CBG a few times and was left with nothing but disappoint. I used the old Prodigy boards to buy comics before you could see digital images... With the exception of buying from Stu Bishop, I was left with disappoint.
  10. Was going to sell it on eBay but... I realized that it was too much fun looking to sell... and after Filoni said that the bearded Endor trooper is Old Man Rex I kind of had to keep it. Figure I’ll take a break from some work - finish watching rebels and perhaps be keeping this to incorporate into the 2020 LEGO project
  11. I would imagine that while Chuck no longer grades books personally that he has established on a companywide scale, what a 'good' is or what a 'near mint" is.
  12. To be fair, the last Transformers was such garbage that Hasbro cancelled it's sequel and instead went the route of Bumblebee. From my own personal experience, I had to actually look at Wikipedia during Transformers: The Last Knight to figure out what was going on in certain scenes. I just looked up the box office on TF: The Last Knight... Supposedly it cost $217 Million and brought in $605 million, supposedly* lost $100 Million. * = I say supposedly because we know how Hollywood gets creative with the books so they don't have to pay out certain parties. - Paramount the studio behind Transformers still claims financially that Forrest Gump was a financial failure.
  13. You are right. You know, I never picked up on that in regards to the body language. The closest I came to it was mentioning that Anakin was as much of a drama queen as Vader when it came to the dialogue. This was evident with the word choice but I never picked up on it the way that you did. I think that people glossed over it and did not realize it simply because James Earl Jones has 'that voice' that makes it sound 'cool' and 'powerful'. But seriously, good observation.
  14. Hoping your recovery is as smooth as possible and the discomfort alleviates itself quickly. Hang in there and hopefully each day is better than the last as you regain your mobility and life.
  15. So more thoughts... It is obvious that when Disney erased the expanded universe, labeling it as 'Legends' that there must have been more of a reason than just making it concise. I had never seen Rebels in it's entirety. I had only watched the last few episodes of season four when they aired. However, I have completely watched the Clone Wars, and am currently on Season 4 Episode 3 of Rebels. So... some more thoughts. I still believe that the Force Awakens is the laziest storytelling out of all of them. The only reason I do not put it at the bottom of the list is because of its execution. Phantom Menace is a better story but poorly executed in the most incredible way. The Last Jedi AND Rise of Skywalker draw a lot of inspiration from Rebels. To many people complaining about Leia pulling a Mary Poppins? Kanan did that in Rebels and freezes over as well. In fact there were many instances in Star Wars lore where that happens. I was wrong to be critical of lightsabers calling out to people like Luke's saber did with Rey in the Force Awakens. Rebels had established that can happen as well. Rebels is INCREDIBLY well done. Another boardie and myself have been chatting as he watches Clone Wars and I am watching Rebels and we are astonished about how good they are. Filoni should be in charge of everything. End of story. How Rebels dealt with the rise of the Rebellion is actually quite good and how Dutch, Hobbie, Wedge and other characters came to be. More later.
  16. Todd got the DC license for the next three years. I like what he’s doing with this.
  17. Thanks, I never pay much attention to things. I just like the surprises on the doorstep. This one though was different. McFarlane was a art god to me as a kid.
  18. How do you know once they were signed? I was already billed for CGC and CCS so does that imply that they moved on from CGC after being signed to CCS?
  19. Sometimes things like phone cases are simply put in baggies for mass sales. I usually get the Otterbox Commuter series for my iPhone. When you go on Amazon, you can choose whether or not you want the official box or the one in the baggie. Each are sold by Amazon directly and are the real thing. Reminds me of what Kenner did with excess Star Wars figures. They would put them in baggies and then offer a blind figure in a box as a promo or something.
  20. Yeaaaaaaah... I'm going to need some of those blind bag DC heroes... Unless Lego makes peace with Hasbro or does a sub license do not expect Lego to do the same with the Marvel characters. However, Lego COULD do something like a battle pack and sell four figures with a mini vehicle like they do with the Star Wars Lego Battle Packs. That's how they got around hasbro's complaints the last time.
  21. I learned about these boards at NYCC. I have brought over three friends and while they do not participate they do read and have made purchases. A fourth friend was lurking when someone posted a political statement and drama ensued. As expected it was a big turnoff.
  22. I think that there is an eBay implementation problem. I bought custom Lego figures from two vendors from China this weekend. I was charged tax through one vendor but not the other vendor. I just go with the flow as I really just don't get it anymore.
  23. I have things neatly organized but I am looking and thinking that between a couple of different hobbies, I have way too much. When I get home I have to post a pic of the Lego storage room.
  24. I was going to post the Rick and Morty... Get your S together clip... but I don't feel like the mods giving me a banhammer for a day or two not realizing it was a joke.
