    Here... There was a LOT of positive changes made to those special editions. I suddenly remembered the youtube comparison that was floating about.

    You ever want something so bad, and then you got it, and then you were like, "Did I really want that? Why did I want that?" Yeah, butthurt fanboys are going to rejoice at Han shooting Greedo first again. However, they are going to be dumbfounded when they realize the death star is going to explode with no more special effects than a firecracker gone awry or a bag of popcorn that was suddenly smashed open. They are also going to realize that the lightsabers that look like cheap imitation hasbro toys will be distracting. Oh yeah, and how Mos Eisley was not the busy spaceport that characters talked about but really a ghost town as show in the theatrical release.

    You beat me. I took home the Marvel / Atlas 'sister' cover and could not resist something else. I fell asleep toward the end and missed some last minute bids on the Weird Fantasy and Weird Science books. That is probably all for the best since NYCC is next week.

    When Sony announces that they are developing a Big Wheel or Stegron movie we will know that the Apocalypse is truly upon us.

    Bleh... I don't think that Last Jedi is the problem. I would have liked to have seen Lucas' original sequel trilogy outlines and stories in their entirety. Perhaps one day, we will see a comic adaptation. If they were ever going to redo anything I wonder what that would have been especially after the recent Iger stories have come out.

    I would agree with you if it was 'the end'. Perhaps it will be a better movie if the last act of JW2 is regarded more of a scene and JW3 is really not an isolated movie but a Part II to JW2. Marvel movies have thrown Hollywood off kilter it seems in that no one seems to make isolated movies but are into this world building expansive decade long epic. So due to that influence, it is almost like I cannot truly assess any of the movies in a franchise until I see how they fit into the bigger whole.

    That is very much what I am afraid of. Force Awakens made me appreciate the Lucas driven prequels in a light that I had not realized. I welcome new stories and not just a rehash. Hopefully JJ takes a few cues from Johnson.

    After Force Awakens, I was not too excited to hear that JJ was taking the reigns to the final Star Wars movie. I actually thought that Johnson's Episode 8 would have been a satisfying ending as the final scene with the boy with the broom reflected on the concept of 'hope' which is what started this whole thing. I will go see it, but i am praying that his is not a retread of previous ideas like what Force Awakens was. I am hoping that JJ takes a cue from Johnson and injects something that is actually new into the closing.

    Wouldn’t mind either to be honest. I’m not too high on what JJ did with Force Awakens so I welcome new stories not rehashes of the old. I will always appreciate what Johnson did over JJ and am hoping that JJ redeems himself. As far as Feige? Make Star Wars an anthology set of movies like they are doing with the Disney+ series. Bring in more diversity and open up the Star Wars universe even further. Every single one of those aliens in the original cantina sequence represented a different species from a different world. It’s time to go out there and see those worlds.

    Oh I have no problem with his price structure he can do what he wants. I paid $15 for the signature years ago. I’m not exaggerating though. He was literally yelling out across the floor at NYCC for people to come see the real show. I was a decent distance away and he was yelling so loud above the crowd and throwing out random phrases that it was kind of weird. Kind of like Abe Simpson or the guy a few seats ahead of me who is rapping along with his music. If you didn’t know he had wireless headphones you would think he’s ranting and raving to himself.

    Things I learned so far this week. “What did you think of the meeting?" Apparently, “If I thought the lights could support my weight I would have hung myself an hour ago.” is NOT the correct response.

    He was screaming out to people at NYCC last time like Grandpa Abe Simpson. It was kind of off-putting. I was with another boardie and it was kind of bizarre. I have a Batman 227 that I had signed by him that he promised I would put up on eBay but yet, I still have it in my collection. He gets kind of weird sometimes when I see him but I have to admit that there are times that I find him fascinating. Recently though? He is on my walk on by list.

    Don't bother, stooooooopid long work phone call... I bow out of this contest. I wish others would step up and complain rather than call me about it. Either way certain things planned out. Let's see if I last here for another 10-11 years. That should be the real contest. I'm out... time to type something up.
