  1. Gotta properly fuel up while Couch Touring... Sam Adams Porch Rocker Washed down with a sandwich of roast beef, mozzarella, tomato, roasted pepper with cajun mayo on garlic bread. warmed and toasted. (I missed breakfast)
  2. Yup - Nice Bathtub from this Vermont band that is pretty schnazzy and a Scarlets -> Fire from the latest incarnation of the Dead. BTW... anyone else notice that Bob is looking more like Jerry each year? Two vids for the price of one...
  3. Definitely... Did you see the post that the guy made either on FB or Hisstank about his Wolverine Tow Cable? The thing actually shrank and snapped at the connection points. As much as I love my vintage... I have been selling them but am keeping my moderns. I am saving some of the originals I have had since a kid and am keeping them in Iain's single figure clamshells for added protection. I would like to hold on to some of them over the next ten years or so... but will fondly look at my moderns. They might be 'rubbery' but I think they have the ability to last until someone puts me in a home and sells off all my stuff.
  4. What's the commotion this year? I half payed attention to it. Apparently there is drama with a whole bunch of SDCC covers.
  5. They put the preorder up for the Marvel Legends WWII Cap with Motorcycle. I would be interested but I wish they had an additional shield and a unmasked head. https://hasbropulse.com/collections/preorders/products/marvel-legends-series-captain-america-figure-with-motorcycle
  6. "storm_shadow_76" aka "nimales_0" (Both from Greece) Incident (Fun story time) Buyer from Greece who I dealt with once before wanted to purchase a $45 GI Joe figure asking if I could lower the price to $40. Told him 'no'. He asked if I could take additional pictures, which I did. At this point by coincidence (it may have been related or it may have not) someone messaged me telling me the price was too high and that he would only pay $35. I thought that was weird so I raised the price to $50 to see what would happen. Original buyer from Greece said he was okay with it but asked if I would reconsider to sell him the figure at $40. He noticed that I raised it to $50 I said, 'no' the price is $45 but sent him an offer for the figure at $45 explaining I was having a problem with another party interested in the figure. He asked for an additional picture of the hand. I complied and took additional pictures to show the hand. He said he would buy it but asked again to reconsider a change in price. I wrote him that I reconsidered the price and raised the price to $50. I honestly felt something was off about this guy and looked at his history and realized I had dealt with him before and something was off back then as well. I figured that once he received it he would either: declare there was a defect and ask for some money back declare it was broken and ask for the whole purchase price back As expected and admittedly by design he went berserk which was fine since I already blocked him. Messages went back and forth, he accused me of trying to steal from him. He denied saying and asking things (which was weird since I told him I clearly had saved the messages) I got annoyed and told him that the schools in Greece must have failed him because reading comprehension is not his strength. (Yeah, I should not have said that.) He called me a racist for saying that. I didn't like that which further solidified my thoughts on his schooling since he obviously did not know what the word racist is. (Probably should not have said that either.) Last night a new ID that was JUST created from Greece, bought the figure. eBay rep agreed with me and told me to cancel it because there is something wrong with the buyer's address. They also told me that I might want to block all of Greece. So... the entire nation of Greece is blocked from buying from me. I took the figure down. Now, no-one gets to buy it. 7. Unfortunately out of necessity at the rate I have been paying attention to warning labels I should have cancer within a week or two from now. Many interior sprays and sealants and chemicals that I have to use as I make some repairs and improvements have strict messages as to not used in confined spaces or places with poor ventilation as it has been known to contribute to cancer. Problem is that the place I need to use that substance is in a poorly ventilated area in a confined space . My favorite warning label was on a can of paint stripper that said, "Has been known to cause cancer in the state of California." I thought to myself, "I'm in New York so I should be fine."
  8. Thanks.... Been using that... I just get annoyed when I wake up and find them in the bathtub from time to time in the early summer / late spring. Could be worse... I was in Florida around this time last year for two weeks... They get these giant roaches that come up from the drains and run around homes looking for anything that strikes their interest. I found out that Floridians are so used to them that they call them Palmetto Bugs instead of what they are... roaches... Maybe that is to make them feel better that they walk amongst giant roaches.
  9. My first SDCC Couch Tour purchase... they were announced and put up for preorder... so... I get this shipped to me in December... (Free shipping at least and at retail so no need for a trip to the store) https://hasbropulse.com/products/tra-gen-wfc-deluxe-crosshairs
  10. No. Just no. Link to argument threads that have been locked. Those are always fun for reading.
  11. Yeah? You want to give me some advice as to what to look for in an exterminator? When I discovered that the guy my grandmother had hired was taking advantage of her, I readily dismissed their services. Every spring, I have a few visitors creeping and crawling that I would like to permanently get rid of. I get those teeny, tiny, itty, bitty, sweet ants every now and then. It drives me nuts.
  12. I posted them on instagram. I once accidentally posted pics of myself here on NYE. I promptly deleted them for the betterment of the boards.
  13. Your "transgressions" are mediocre... so no worries. Seriously... stick around for Fridays... that's when the traditional fun starts.
  14. It’s always the oxygen but sometimes just the age. The ABS plastic that they used has turned brittle over time with different pieces molded in different colors experiencing more problems than others. A couple of weeks ago someone posted a picture online of their GI Joe Wolverine tow cable. They said it had been attached over the years and snapped. It turns out that it wound up shrinking (according to him) from a lack of humidity. Either way... there have been several plastic degradation posts on here where even carded Joes and other plastic figures have elbow cracks just from the age of the plastic. The soft totes might be okay now and definitely back then but if you want to extend the life of those figures I would buy some type of Rubbermaid or something just to give them a bit more protection. Your stuff though... so you know best.
  15. Joes and certain parts of certain transformers from the 80’s have become so brittle over time that I would not recommend storing them in totes. I would get a bunch of hard shell plastic bins at the minimum.
  16. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot... Warning to those with sensitive ears... this has salty language.
  17. Terminator: SDCC Featurette - Apparently this was shown about 15 minutes ago at SDCC OR... it was only published online about 15 minutes ago.
  18. Soooo... invincible iron man 7 or 9? Asking for a "friend"...
