  1. Here is one thing that may have been overlooked... He says that he deleted the pics. Let's assume that he did a cash transaction for the book so there is no record of sale. However, I would like the CGC Sku number for the book. Ok ok ok... some of you are saying that since the book is gone how can he get that? Well, since he recently received it back it would be in his CGC invoices. If it is not in the CGC invoices because the book was slabbed earlier than that it can still be determined by remembering what batch of books it came back with. Give me a sku number and I will enter them into the site with consecutive numbers until I locate the book. If the guy cannot get any of that information... then maybe he deserves to stay on the Probation List. There are MANY MANY ways that this whole matter can be rectified but the seller keeps avoiding the opportunities to do so or comes up with a self validated reason for not being able to do so.
  2. Follow up to the follow up to the follow up... Mr Neeley is currently held in the custody of the Harnett Correctional Institution of North Carolina. He has had quite a few infractions while in prison as can be viewed HERE thanks to the North Carolina Department of Corrections and judging by his record he is a career criminal. However... if anyone wants to let him know how special he is and that the boards still remember him... you can send comic books to him HERE at the Harnett Correctional Institution of North Carolina: Thomas W Neeley: Offender Number 0569738 c/o: Harnett Correctional Institution Box 1569, 1210 E. McNeill Street, Lillington, NC 27546 Phone: 910-893-2751
  3. It is so long that the Marvel Unlimited App pays for itself just by you reading the main prelude, main storyline, side arcs, and aftermath.
  4. I would not recommend Desert Wind or Celestial Wind to serve as footrests for when I want to watch TV and pop my feet up while on the couch.
  5. This is not a meaningless thread bump just to revive a 17 year old thread. I was actually seeking this out to see if this was addressed. so... What DOES cgc do with all the bags and boards they have received ? How has their disposal or use policy changed over the years ? just wondering...
  6. This should be turned into a things I would not recommend Desert Wind for... I would not recommend Desert Wind to find sand in a desert. I would not recommend Desert Wind to butter bread I would not recommend Desert Wind to spell 'wind' correctly. Carry on...
  7. I have an HP 8300 Does anyone have any experience using them to scan slides? If so... care to share? Ideas on best settings for slides? 1950's color, B&W, 1970's color. I just checked and I have the slide trays for the scanner. So I believe everything I need is here. I could not find anything on YouTube as far as a manual... I have a couple thousand... okay maybe a few thousand family slides that I saved from the garbage. As a Christmas gift to my mom and Aunt I was thinking of setting up a private Facebook group and organizing all of my grandfather's slides dating back to well... possibly WWII. I know they wish they could have seen them but they didn't think it was viable. I figure if I were to dedicate the time to do some here and there each day, I could have a large amount done by Christmas.
  8. I liked Captain Marvel. I eagerly anticipate a sequel and will look forward to getting opening night tickets for it as I did the first movie.
  9. I do not hold this company in high opinion and while I am sure that someone from their company will see this, I am glad to say that I have successfully dissuaded a few friends of mine from using their 'services' based on the words of the these boards.
  10. He was a sweet and tender hooligan, hooligan And he said that he'd never, never do it again And of course he won't (oh, not until the next time)
  11. I once came close to nominating one of the major auction houses to the probation list. True story. They made it right though. I had a strong case but eventually they made me whole. I was curious to see if everyone would abide by 'family' and 'community' and boycott that auction house. .
  12. Sometimes a UV light can find CT on the cover as the pens and inks will be different from the comics natural print.
  13. So you don't want to see pics of me at the horse rescue, cider house brewery, and then wine tasting from Saturday while on the North Fork the other day? I will be heading back to Fire Island in a week or two...
  14. Yup... now the Hall of Shame list is a Do Not Deal With List. Personally, anyone who deals with people on THAT list is on my personal do not deal with list... especially a certain individual...
  15. Its a scumbag move to "lose" an item that does not sell for what you thought it would have or having regrets because you realized you should have sold it for more. There was a guy here a few years ago that posted here that he was drunk and he wanted to pay for a new tattoo... so he posted pics of a early number ASM for about half of what it normally goes for. The book was immediately claimed and the seller supposedly sent it out. Whether or not anyone should have claimed the book knowing the poster was drunk is up for debate... Either way... I say keep him on the list. The list is not a do not deal with list... it is a warning list that the person you are dealing with should be dealt with in caution.
  16. I need to ask for something at certain posting achievements.
  17. I am rooting against this. Yes, I am not getting one anyway. However, if this is successful then it will justify kicking up the price point on other things.
  18. If price point on Hound is the trend moving forward then I am not picking up any more MP Transformers. I think that Hasbro sees the price that 3rd Party Transformers are actually commanding and receiving and believe that people will pay that for Hasbro / Takara product. The problem with that mindset is that there are many 3rd Party Transformers that collapse at market and fall to a deep discount. The ones that have lasting power at those higher price points are actually releases of characters in MP scale that Hasbro has not made yet or will probably not make like the FansToys Kup / Koot MP Scale. That figure seems to be increasing in value actually. I have one and it seems to be of better quality or of the same quality as a Hasbro / Takara. There is speculation that on some of the Transformers sites that the first 10 backings for this came from the Chinese Knock Off Companies so they can do what they usually do and release a cheaper version down the road.
