  1. Oh this is why I live on Long Island... I don’t want to hear people on other side of walls. I like my yard and like I did yesterday, I like taking my bike down to the beach.
  2. People pulling down their pants and taking a mess in front of me? No that’s the downtown A or C subway at 720am the “s” word converts to “mess” fwiw
  3. I used to drive to work. Then hipsters moved into Brooklyn and the infrastructure could not handle the traffic. I have a dedicated parking space and still I take mass transit. Hey, it means the Jeep I bought last year will last 17 years like the Mustang did.
  4. I had something occur that was similar to the JIM 83 with CGC and another book where I had a raw book slabbed by CGC... something was missed that the other guys found but missed something CGC found and then when it went back to CGC they found what the others guys did but missed something that the other guys found. Different grading standards I guess.
  5. I should have said that they have been known to make mistakes. I’ve tested the grading services between both companies and while CGC has been more consistent they both missed things. CBCS missed way more.
  6. Oh, I had edited my post seemingly as you quoted and responded to it.
  7. Go back and quote what I edited in. His “strong” case is weak and dependent on words on a message board. Buzz who is for some reason stuck in Jamaica even though this train doesn’t stop in Jamaica.
  8. Yet... that is not always the case as professional grading is subjective and sometimes even in error. I wish I received back the grading fees in both cases but sadly I did not.
  9. Fixed that for you. You “think” you have a strong lawsuit over $100. If the guy dodged you for $100 and a court actually feels like entertaining you he is dodging that as well. You have words on a message board. You don’t know who exactly you are talking to. You don’t know if there was a typo from 3 to 2. You don’t have a strong anything. Your case is actually pretty weak. And even so... I have watched people dodge bigger things than $100 and some people are still seeking action.
  10. I don’t think I articulated myself well. Threats of legal action will not amount to much. Requiring him to write down what the deal is for reimbursement is not binding. Just because someone, somewhere, wrote it online does not make it binding. No one will care.
  11. He could state anything he wants in some thread. No one cares. There is nothing binding in this thread that anyone would ever pay attention to. Go to the police. File the paperwork. No one cares and no one will do anything about it. This whole return is centered on a handshake agreement over $100-300. I will be surprised if anyone finds this worth the time. So much around here is on a gentleman’s agreement. Think about the books you send to CGC... think about sending them to who you have press your books. send the book and be done with it.
  12. I disagree with the grading fees aspect but whatevs. I also speak as a buyer in that situation. When I purchased a raw copy that was determined by CGC to have color touch, the dealer refunded the cost of purchase only. (Not naming the dealer publicly) When I purchased a raw book from an auction house that was determined by CGC to be trimmed the auction house refunded the cost of purchase only + shipping back the book. (Not naming the auction house publicly.)
  13. OMG @BSeldin305 Send the damn book back. If he doesn't refund you, then PayPal has you covered. Unless of course you monkeyed around with the book and he has scans that can prove otherwise or send Jim back a German newspaper. @Peoplesjim Take the book back if @BSeldin305 sends you back what you sent him in the condition that you sent it in. @kav How is that?
  14. I just made a return and received my refund today. GI I received $90 back today. Seller sold me a GI Joe vehicle that was advertised as complete and it was missing 3 missiles, 1 missile pod, separate missile from the cannon, the figure's handgun, and the ammo clip to the rifle. He offered me a partial refund. Problem is that the parts NEVER come up for sale. The vehicle is either sold complete or not with the missing pieces never listed. He was unhappy that he had to pay shipping back but... I didn't want an incomplete vehicle, I wanted a complete one. whaddyagonnado... ? I returned the vehicle (Packed it better than he did incidentally) and received my refund a day later. How is that for staying on topic?
  15. Nothing cooler about one's collection than for a museum to say it is display worthy. That's great and congratulations.
  16. At this point I have noticed that SS is cheaper to get done after the fact. The only exception is if I am paying for a sketch. When Stan Lee was alive, it was cheaper to get a book of his over eBay with the signature that presented well rather than take my own book and roll the dice as to whether or not it would be a decent signature or not.
  17. Michonne is also leaving the show as Hollywood continues to see Danai Gurira as a valuable commodity.
