  1. DO NOT ship any items to: Pavel Borisov 600 Markley St # 063333 Port Reading, NJ 07064-1813 United States Buyer bought a lego set this morning in the amount of $50 using the account of: lunaxxxchik Their feedback was (92) eBay notified me that the buyer account was fraudulently used and that I should not ship the item. eBay notified me after the Post Office was closed and with priority shipping the item has a transit time of one day. It will be at its destination by the time I am able to contact USPS tomorrow. This is the problem with shipping fast. eBay was useless and is having me call a post office in New Jersey. New Jersey Post Offices are closed. When I asked what is the next course of action, because it will be in the buyer's hands by tomorrow, I was told that it is the cost of doing business. With that said... I am now open to doing offline eBay sales.
  2. is allowable? I guess not. However, read that message to yourself in the voice of the girl from the opening scene in Pulp Fiction at the diner. It's highly entertaining. "Any of you spooning move, and I'll execute every mother spooning last one of you!" Language: NSFW
  3. I would like to see something good emerge out of this... My reservations extend from the characters being lesser known than DC and Marvel properties and perhaps the audience for this genre are starting to feel worn out that they have "seen it all" already. Valiant / Sony would have to REALLY step up their game to do something different in order to get that word of mouth. With that said, I listed a few 1st Appearance Valiant Books on eBay at what I consider very strong prices and they have slowly been selling. The Magnus 5 9.8 1st Rai for $200 was kind of surprising. I figured that someone would have made an offer. The buyer bought it outright then thanked me for it. Another 9.8 copy sold a few days later at auction for $91 and going by feedback it might be the same buyer. Maybe my buyer knows something that I don't and is buying them up.
  4. 1 - I tried watching it on HBO... It was horrible and I am not even an FF fan so I could care less either way with some of the changes. 2 - Marvel / Disney does not care about the Fantastic Four. They want Galactus and the Silver Surfer and possibly skrulls. They are actually more important to Marvel Movie Universe than Reed and Company. 3 - The Thing - There is an outside shot that Marvel wants The Thing back into their fold. The Thing COULD be Marvel's Chewbacca. You have a guy that they only have to cast once in human form and all they need is a voice from that point forward. If the 'voice' wants too much money they find a new voice.
  5. I don't even know what happened.... but "whee"
  6. Someone said something about cats... I figured I would post three pics side by side of the longest cat the internet has to offer.
  7. Maybe they recast RDJ with a younger actor... The timeline "changes"
  8. Avengers 3: Infinity War (War to gather the stones?) Avengers 4: Infinity Gauntlet ?
  9. Shssh... don't say that name or we'll be invaded by lolcats
  10. Got my Superman 3 back from being reholdered... First pic is the reholder Second pic is the original from the CLink auction Note the difference... the newton rings around the edges are all gone. I am much happier and the book looks even better than it does in the new scan because I do not really know how to configure my scanner.
  11. I'm staring at the highline right now from my desk at work. The taco truck stand has some of the best tacos ever. And no one on the highline speaks English or knows how to walk. I've gone a few times. I think the last time I was there was last fall with a few people. There was a string quartet playing music and we sat around having tea coffee and whatever after walking a decent length of the park. It's actually quite peaceful up there compared to the nonsense below that it is separated from.
  12. Then you should walk the fifteen minutes to Down the Hatch between 6th and 7th or wings at Down the Hatch... you can sort of drift by the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory building which was where the fire occurred that prompted building codes as we know them today and then you can pass the giant arch by Washington Square Park. After DTH, if you want to walk about ten minutes north of there or take a short cab or subway ride... keep going west until you get to an entrance for the Highline... That is the giant ever growing raised boardwalk, nature walk that is built upon the tracks of the previous century's elevated train line. http://www.thehighline.org/ There is so much more to do in NYC then to go into comic book stores where you could find the back issues cheaper on eBay or at cons.
  13. I think it will be a VIP purchase closer to Rogue One given the tie in to the Death Star. It's definitely coming though - there might be an exclusive figure in there that I have not identified yet but it's not worth the price of a new Death Star. If it's that important I can wait for the Chinese ebay vendors to start making knock offs.
  14. Things I have seen. Someone leaked the upcoming 'new' Death Star... Full disclosure... I sold my extra Death Star 10188 back in March for $565 + shipping. I could not be happier that I did. It seems that Lego is taking a lazy route (like they did last Christmas with the annual Christmas set and rereleased Year 1's set) and simply reissuing it with a few updated minifigures. Wait what? Yes, I have seen the pics and they are reissuing it. Now back in 2008 the price point was $400. What will the price point be now? I am guessing that eight year later we are going to see a jump up to at least $100 making a full retail version of this set $500. I will be VERY surprised if there are any internal changes. All of the pics I have seen are clearly identical to the opened sample I still have. Rogue 1 Lego sets have completely leaked. Lego recalled the images but they are still there. Amazon Germany accidentally published them in high resolution and although they asked the normal sites to take them down they are still available. Yes, I have pics of everything mentioned but since Lego is asking sites to take them down I have not decided if I am going to post them here. Since they have not asked anyone to take down the new Death Star pics "YET"... I will post it here until they do.
  15. Because everything is better with the Beastie Boys... Special shout out to the slo-mos and the editing... you will see what I mean.
  16. These threads always confuse me as how one should participate... If I name a book I DO NOT have, I run the risk of naming things that others will now go after and perhaps acquire before I do. Why should I create competition for myself. If I name a book I DO have then I run the risk of appearing as if I am trying to hawk my own book so I can sell it as demand increases.
  17. I've had good luck with the few PGX slabs that I have purchased. I have cracked them out and had them pressed and submitted and they have come back usually higher with the outlier being a book that came back a full grade lower but with better pages IIRC. However, with that said, I almost picked up a PGX book last night that upon closer inspection was definitely trimmed along the right edge.
  18. Just so happen to have another twitter account that I do not use. He has his entire account protected so no one can see what he posts unless he allows them to. That does not really make sense on twitter though. Why tweet unless people can see it. If you aren't allowing anyone to see anything then you are simply tweeting to yourself. I was right though, he is a local Long Island guy. I showed his video to a buddy of mine and he rolled his eyes. All of our paths have crossed in real life and he is who I thought he is. He is an obnoxious tool to be around. You know the type... the loudest guy in the room.
  19. Marky Perrone is following me on Twitter... I wanted to follow him back... then I saw this.... so double :whee: I guess this is the type of guy he is. And yeah Marky, I know you see this.
  20. I also asked if you were a board member and had listed it over here. Still stand by that as MyComiCShop, Metropolis and others have the same circumstances I don't recall giving anyone a hard time about it or being judgmental, like I said it comes with the territory, and fairly common practice, and everyone will have a different or even fluid stance. I didn't think you did. You were quite cordial about it. However, there is no exclusivity on eBay. Last month, I offered a number of things here in a Mixed thread. Nothing sold so I put them all up on eBay, Craigslist and Hisstank at the same time. There are plenty of times I have listed things on eBay first and then people shoot me an email or a text asking me to take it down and sell it at a discount (they know how to get in touch with me from prior purchases or they see me here or have seen me advertise something somewhere else). If someone can get in touch with me... by all means we can talk. Now in the meantime... my thumbs ache... and I am about to be made king of the world or something like that because my dentist is about to give me a crown. talk more later.

  22. Most of my responses that he has deleted or now barred me from writing have been pointing out inconsistencies in his claims. This guy doesn't like to be proven wrong. The ones he did leave were the ones were I threw some trolling his way. I am okay with that though. Punch in the face? - I doubt it.
  23. Have not decided if I am keeping it but it is definitely headed to Florida at some point.
