  1. Are you at least 18? areyousayingthatitcouldbeanothergijoeisawesome? No, GIJOEisAwesome had a habit of actually buying items then claiming they were not up to snuff upon receipt of the items. From that point he would negotiate a partial refund in his favor. Thankfully... thankfully... I never got involved with him in a trade. I almost came close but never did.
  2. I just played the beta for Tom Clancy's The Division. It was interesting but seemed like there was too much going on for my taste at all times.
  3. Yes nothing wrong with waiting. Just put it in your TOS that after so many days you will file with ebay to collect your fees. That way if you have to do it you can say it was in my TOS to begin with. The buyer just messaged me to say that she has car trouble and will not be able to get the item. Keep in mind that they didn't just hit BIN, they made an offer that I accepted. I didn't bother countering as it was a fair offer. Oh well. On the comics front... I offered a book over here for $275 with not a single tire kicker. I put it up on eBay and it just sold for $315. Despite the flaws, eBay continues to work for me.
  4. I am happy to report that Girl Scout Troop 616 has had more cookie sales than Fox's Fantastic Four. They thank you for all your purchases of Thin Mints.
  5. After 3/1 - They bought the item on February 13th I might add.
  6. Someone just made me an offer... I accepted the offer... "I won't be able to pay until after 2/1" Whatevs... doesn't make them a bad person. I am keeping in mind what RMA once said. In the old days before paypal we used to wait over a week for a check or money order to arrive in the mail.
  7. Sounds like a very nice project, Buzz! I agree, those purple bricks are hard to get... Have you tried putting it through a virtual modeling program, via LDraw or MLCAD? Yes, the one thing I am completely inept at is linking up things in LDraw no matter how often I rotate the screen. I understand how to use it and have the mindset to realize what I want it to look like in three dimensional space. The problem is actually making everything align on the computer screen. I am always one stud off or it is it is a plate level too high or something like that and it throws everything off.
  8. I halted the project because I was not satisfied with a red and blue version and the purple bricks are hard to come by let alone made in the pieces I would need. I also ran into a few problems designing the torso to emulate the patterns on his chest in a clean way that. What I was thinking of was a basic snot technique with a plate apron with wing parts. The head was attempted but I did not like it and was disassembled. I will pick it up again soon.
  9. I need to finish what I started. I am still a torso, head and legs away from a giant size Galactus minifigure. All I ever completed were the arms. However, I did pick up the old Hoth base for the interiors in case I pick up the 2016 Hoth set then create a full size Echo base. I need to get rid of a few boxes of stuff to do that though. Only then would I hit up brick link for lots of those mountain pieces. I would also need some inspiration for a lego minifig version of a Rebel Transport or two. I want big enough for minifigures and some equipment but nothing too big like I've seen online. It would be about the length of the AT-AT.
  10. 7th? If you have 8 I would imagine that you could have enough parts to do a complete 2x of one... yeah?
  11. Agreed... I never really watched the original run... I would catch it on and off... but that has been a nice way to pick up the series.
  12. He seems to have a young DeNiro, Taxi Driver type look about him. Pretty cool.

  14. Yes... there was an instance two years ago where someone pointed out that someone on the PL had claimed something in a thread.
  15. Another great cover... considering the angst of Corgan's voice, I think it's better than the original
  16. With two episodes left... I would hate for them to have done a season 10 just to create more unanswered questions. It is one thing to resolve some questions and introduce new ones. It is another thing to keep things the status quo. It is even worse to just add to the questions. I want to see a season 11... Howzbout another ten episodes this fall?
  17. I was bored with 1-4. Then I saw Fast Five. Fast Five is a modern day Ocean's 11 mixed with an action movie. I loved every second of it. After that I went back and watched 1-4 so I could get the full story. Basically, you watch them in this order: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3, 7, 8 If you only watch one of them though, take a look at Fast Five. There are many "Holy Ess" moments in it.
  18. Tentative at this point but scheduled... Fast and Furious 8: April 14, 2017 Kingsman: Secret Service 2: June 16, 2017 Alien: Covenant: October 6: 2017 Star Wars: Han Solo: May 25, 2018 Toy Story 4: June 15, 2018 Star Wars: Episode IX: 2019 Fast and Furious 9: April 19, 2019 The Incredibles 2: June 21, 2019 Fast and Furious 10: April 2, 2021
  19. I thought I would share these here before I upload them to my CAF I actually bought these around 20 years ago. However, I never scanned them and photos never come out right. If anyone has any advice on how to best scan them through the frame please let me know. These represent two of the VERY few things that I have on display. There is no paint loss in the cels at all and everything else you see is glare. Batman the Animated Series: Cat and the Claw P2 - Batman Batman the Animated Series: Christmas with the Joker - Joker
  20. Exactly my feelings There are people that are going to excuse this... Now what are their reasons ? 1 - one group will support him to win favor 2 - another group will support him in an effort to downplay how bad this is in an effort to rationalize the price that they paid for art 3 - another group will support him in an effort to downplay this so they can dump a few things before the POSSIBLE - market adjustment No matter what anyone wants to convince you. Your "things" are only worth what someone else is willing to pay. If you remove the shill bidding that got you to pay for your stuff at whatever price you paid, then you are looking at a substantial loss as there will be no shill bidders helping you along when you go to sell.
