  1. I am envious. I have a 9.6 and one day plan on upgrading. I would even consider a 9.9 if such a thing is possible as CGC has yet to grade one out at that level.
  2. Currently locked up at work until I find a suitable place that it will not get molested on my desk: Masterpiece Red Alert I doubt that the American retailers would bring this variant to sale in the states so I ordered the Japanese issue. I had the original and it was one of my favorite toys as a kid. http://tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/4480
  3. Last purchase for awhile... Going to concentrate on selling off some other stuff... Form the Heritage Auctions..
  4. Depending on the humidity in the area it needs to be recharged once every couple of weeks or so Interesting - I would probably buy two of them then so I could swap it out upon visits. Thanks
  5. Can I store one of those Cabela's dehumidifier thingys in a larger bank safety deposit box? Is it practical?
  6. Has been on my "Comics I must have in my possession before I die" list for awhile:
  7. Fast payment - responsible buyer - excellent communication - thanks for buying my "stuff"
  8. But this way you will get just a lousy recent edtition, which – by the way – won’t be a "Uomo Ragno" because Marvel suddenly decided Spider-Man should be called with its original english name after 40 years of honored service. They have to keep consistent with the movies, you know. That's what mine says... It is magazine sized... Actually he brought back two. I am looking at the italian issues now. One says L'uomo Ragno and is published under the Marvel Graphic Novel Strip and the other is a compilation of a few issues from Civil War with the Spider-man title. I know that the Spanish one is El Hombre Arana and the Swedish one I could not remember no less pronounce if you held a gun to my head. I have scanning to do... so if i get to it I will add those to the stack.
  9. My goal is to pick up a box of Spider-man comics from various places... something simple. The hard part is getting it for free. Girl goes to visit relatives in Sweden - Brought me back this months Amazing Spider-man Brother goes to Italy...like that... Italian Spiderman Spanish teacher in 7th Grade knew I liked the character. Gave me a Silver Age issue 76 from Spain.
  10. In a matter such as this, fact is irrelevant, perception is key. CGC is a company that has built its reputation by trust. Do I personally believe that any impropriety is going on? No. What about someone else? When an action raises suspicion from a potential buyer and gives them pause then it hurts.
  11. So basically what you are telling me is I have to wonder that if I submit a book that unless I have a book pressed by THEM (Classics), my book will not receive as nice of a grade.
  12. Purchased a copy of Amazing Spider-man 101 in a 9.0 at what I consider a very fair price. The book arrived well packed and in an expedited timeframe ahead of the giant swarm that is about to engulf NY. I would easily deal with again.
  13. I'm debating this. My membership expires at the end of December. The coupons definitely make sense economically but my motivation to send in books lately has been pretty lacking. I am sending in: Superman 15 (Slight CT and Tear Seals), Batman 42 (Joker Car Cover) Action Comics 76 (War Cover) and... Perhaps I will go into my raw Spidey's and submit another mid grade low number or if I pick up a raw copy of something later this week at NYCC. It makes sense to do this as my subscription was $109. Sending these books in would cost me more even using economy level at $35 each.
  14. I joined for another year. The four coupons to send in books more than make up for it. I have four Golden Age Superman and Batman books I am looking to submit.
  15. I would say that there are less newstand copies in higher grade than direct copies. Me? Personally, I don't care, I just want to own the particular book I am interested in.
  16. What I find confusing is this.... Three orders. Order 1 and Order 2 were marked safe/shipped while Order 3 was marked scheduled for grading. Remains this way for about a week Order 1 and 2 remain safe/shipped while Order 3 is placed into safe/shipped (add about another week) Order 3 shows up on my doorstep while Order 2 and 3 are still somewhere out there. Order 1 and 2 still do not have a tracking number. I was hoping to get the books back before NYCC.
  17. The Batman 47 that I had purchased as a raw copy on eBay after Joey pressed it. I had an extra ASM 3 laying around and Joey did his magic on that as well. VERY happy to have the Batman in my collection.
  18. To me that is insane. After ten days, as eBay suggests, if I do not hear from the buyer, I initiate 'the process.' I do not think that it is a matter of impatience. I honestly feel that if you buy something that you should at least write the buyer to let them know what is going on. I have received a few messages over the years concerning various situations of inability to pay at that moment and I truly understand. Just let me know what is going on and we are cool. If you disappear? Ten days goes by, I initiate the non paying process. BTW the best I ever heard? Buyer was totally honest. They told me that they bought an item from me and did not expect to win the number of things that they won. They asked if they could immediately pay one day after the next pay-period. Me? No problem. I understand... just let me know what is going on. Don't pull the disappearing act.
  19. He is a hottie and he has an awesome bookcase I am extremely jealous of.. Amazing design. You did that on your own or found someone that builds these types of things?
