After months trying to find a good way to store/protect/display my books I decided to spend the extra money to buy a couple of flat file cabinets...As the video states... that was the best way I found to store the books and still make it easy to "display"/see them... I also did some LED light upgrades and installed curtains to protect them from UV damage... You can see part of my room here... I'll try to do a better video later..
When you pull out the drawer all the way can you see the labels for the books in the back for every drawer or just the bottom ones?

I have pre-ordered this as well. I am honestly surprised it hasn't sold out with an edition of only 200 pieces.

@nearmint, with the year coming to a close, what would be your Top 3 statues of the year?
I would go like this:
- Sideshow Red Sonja
- Prime 1 Serpentor
- Level 52 Studios Catgirl (taking a leap of faith -- this one should arrive shortly after Christmas)

I think 76 now. I saw an article online stating that she was going to retire, and also another article stating that she was the highest paid TV personality at 47 million a year salary.
Edit: just read that the 47 million was from 2013, in 2017 she made $147 million.
And $100 million of that is from selling to networks to air her show.

Do you guys ever read Michael Fremer? I've been a fan since reading his Stereophile columns in the nineties. He lives for vinyl and ultra esoteric audiophile equipment.
Check out YouTube -- there is a video where he gives a tour of his setup. It's amazing and also made my record collection and equipment feel a little insignificant

I got into records a few years ago and am constantly learning new things about the hobby.
It amazed me that people actually clean records with a water mixture (and a few other chemicals thrown in) -- and it amazed me even more just how clean some of the records got after the treatment.
I'm a weekly buyer now of vinyl -- there are so many new releases coming out every week. RSD and Black Friday RSD are now two of my favorite days of the year.
Watching YouTube videos of some people in the vinyl community have broadened my appreciation for multiple kinds of music as they discuss records in their collections.

I really envy you guys who customize your statues. Real talent.
I could never even think about modifying statues that I own for fear of destroying them.
I know this is a Hot Toys figure but same same. They aren’t cheap either.

I saw this Sunday. It brought back feels :-)
Also, the animated short at the beginning of the film was very good!

Another massive piece. Mine is sitting on a shelf at my local shop for a couple of more payments. Did you get exclusive?
Yes! Although I probably won't display him with the straight face option very often. I very much prefer angry face Serpentor :-)

Something about the way Conan is holding that ax bugs me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think the ax is way too small, and that's probably causing Conan to hold it in a weird way.
I don't know -- I love most of Campbell's artwork but this one causing me to scratch my head. The initial Liefeld comparisons were because Conan's strength looks to be greatly exaggerated in this piece.

in Comics General

Catigirl has started to show up in many collectors hands. My package was supposed to arrive by end of today, but unfortunately mailman came with no statue :-(
This particular collector has posted pictures of his Catgirl under a blacklight to show off the refelective eyes of the female and cats in the statue:
