Coming up on 8 PM, time to get started.

    Tomb of Terror 4

Looks pretty nice, but there's chipping RH edge FC, dogear lower RH, and a smaller bit of chipping LH edge BC.
Book lays flat, bit of gloss, tight and clean, offwhite - white pages.

    Asking $100

Movie Comics #6 The Phantom Creeps (DC, 1939) CGC 4.0 Cream to off-white pages.

Both Overstreet and Gerber list this book as "scarce". Robot cover. Adaptation of The Phantom Creeps. Gene Autry, Bela Lugosi, Gary Cooper, and Laurel and Hardy appearances. Sheldon Mayer art.

A CGC 3.5 copy sold in April of this year via Heritage for $1,680.00.

I won't go as high as Heritage so hopefully one of the underbidders is here on the Boards but good luck finding another copy!

    FORUM PRICE: $1,500.00

  3. Just my 2 cents.

    Short answer: No

Long Answer: The PCH collector pool has seen a recent uptick as well as a lot more books coming to market. While it’s possible that there will eventually be enough low to mid grade copies to meet the demand, I don’t see the supply meeting the demand for upper mid-grade to high grade happening any time soon.

Mark Scott and Isle of Comics will be there from my show they will have a ton of books.

Thanks. Mark’s booth is usually my first stop when he’s at a conference. There are usually at least a couple boxes of GA for me to look through.

At least one of the local dealers is set up (Bill's Books).  Last time I went was 2018 and I remember it being a nice mix of dealers but not enough deals to justify driving back and forth.  Hope you find some great books!

Thanks. I’ve went the last couple of years and comics are definitely the secondary market at this show. There’s a high probability my kids come home with more plastic swords and axes than I do comics.
