I’m excited about the contest but more excited to see what sweet books have been graded and I can make offers on.

Well since our own @Dr. Love already posted the auction page, I must say I'm extremely delighted that this book just perfect-stormed itself into a little sub-set that I'm working on! I was braced for it to go hundreds higher, and when it didn't, I honestly yelled "YES" and threw some hands in the air, as I bid well more than it ended up costing me!!!
It’s a pretty book in hand. You’ll enjoy it.

Vault of Horror #28 (CGC 8.0 with off-white to white pages.) $
950:$850A ghastly Johnny Craig cover!
Outstanding centering, superb structure, bright, vibrant and fully saturated colors!
I doubt you’ll find a better looking 8.0 than this.
I recently had this graded.
An interested back story to this book. In the late 1980’s I discovered Redbeard’s Book Den. I was living in the SF Bay Area and Ron was living in Crystal Bay, NV- not that far away. Ron was early with posting comics online and that’s how I came to know about his books. From the late 1980’s to 1990 I purchased many books from Ron, mainly ECs and Silver Age Marvels.
It was always a pleasure to do business with Ron. Spot-on grading, super knowledgeable and always willing to share that knowledge.
This is one of the many ECs I bought from Ron. Adds a tiny bit of provenance.

Maybe 🤔 you would like to own it again?
If I didn’t have another copy I probably would.

I wish you luck... it's an absolute beast. @C. Spaulding sold me this copy which is a cracked-out 3.0 (front looks better, back has staining); it was a modest upgrade to a 2.5 copy I then sold off. I've not seen another copy for sale in three years. No GPA sales, no sales on HA.
I recognized that one right away. She looks even better out of the slab.

It was on my list for a long time too and then I ended up with both of these copies at almost the same time. The 6.0 was sold a while back to fund other books but it’s definitely near the top of favorite ECs for me as well.
This might be what I was thinking about. It was a while back…

Thanks. I’ve went the last couple of years and comics are definitely the secondary market at this show. There’s a high probability my kids come home with more plastic swords and axes than I do comics.
